Are those made in Japan or elsewhere? Usually Japanese products that are sold outside Japan are made elsewhere.

Can you plug those into your ipod and tell me how it sounds?

Congrats man. I love my L3000 and won't sell it. I recently bought the HA2002 to go along with my W2002.

The L3000 ? The AD2000 sounded a little thin to me but nonetheless, its also a great sounding pair of AT phones. What I really disliked the most for the AT line will probably be the W1000. It sounded thin and the Highs were a tad too bright for my liking. Also, the bass was tight but not deep.

What struck me most for the L3000's were the transparency and deep wonderful bass. Its sound signature is more towards the dark side and like what Elephas had said earlier on, sounded really special and its something that I've never heard before.

Yes, it was the K701's fault I went back to the store. The funny (or not so funny) thing is, when I walked out I was thinking of the K701, HD650, SA5000, and W5000.

110 is my Grado HF-1 number. The L3000 is No. 219. At least that's what a sticker says on the brown cardboard box. I don't see a number on the L3000 itself.

The L3000 was made in Japan. Some AT models might be made elsewhere, but I believe most are made in Japan.

It sounds OK directly from an iPod using the Grado 1/4 to 1/8 adapter. It is comparatively flat and lifeless, though, and seems to be muddy and less clear. Paired with a SuperMacro-3, it sounds much better.

Hmm, L3000 as portable headphones? At least one won't be mistaken for an alien with antennas, as with some AT models. Maybe people will think you're a humanoid transport carrying tiny aliens lounging on the leather sofa on your head (Men In Black-style).

Have a look at the inside of the headband, there should be one little metal plate that has xxx/500 on them.

Mines T168/500....Its a really good number if you know what I'am talking about Elephas...Hehe....Kinda ironical when you consider that right here, headfi's burning your wallet and there you have number 168.... I guess you should know what 168 means since your from Taiwan.

Yeah, sometimes it seems half the passwords in Taiwan are 168 or some variation.

"168" is definitely not happening to me, especially since joining Head-Fi.

I'm listening to Ayumi Hamasaki's remixes with the L3000, and OMG OMG OMG it sounds sooooooo good.

Do I sound like a teenager? That's how I feel.
