W5000 have landed!

Thanks for the ongoing impressions gurus, the W5000 sound very promising to me and it's likely that I too will be getting one in the near future. As a current owner of a pair of L3K's, I wouldn't be disappointed at all if some find that the W5000's sonic signature in their opinion are better. To me both cans offers a unique sound signature and I would be keeping both.

A bit off topic, but for those of you who have ordered products through Price Japan, did you use DHL or EMS? How long did it take for the package to arrive?

I'm going to order the AD2000 and will be in Florida from Tues-Fri next week, but not again until late January. So that's only an 8 day window. The DHL price is $505 and the EMS price is $488. I'm thinking of being cheap by using EMS and just hoping it will get there on time. It won't be the end of the world if I have to wait for another 6 weeks to pick it up.

EMS and DHL takes about the same time. EMS is cheaper and takes about the same time due to faster customs clearance thru the Post Office than DHL. If you get closer to holidays EMS might take longer.

Essentially, the domestic part is handled by the respective Post offices and the overseas transportation is handled by DHL. Better real time tracking by DHL tho.

I believe I placed my order 1 day before you(w5k). I still haven't received mine but I'm expecting it to come tomorrow (hopefully). I used EMS btw, tracking isn't working but stuck on "left origin country"

Wow! That was remarkable service. Let's hope EMS is as quick and efficient as you guys are. If so, I'll be able to give impresisons of the W5000, AD2000 and L3000 before Christmas! I guess I can also mention the W1000 and W100, although the W100 are on loan to my mom in Illinois at the moment. I should have just ordered the AD2000 last week when I ordered the W5000, but it's somehow easier psycologically to do it piecemeal.

That was kind of goofy. I thought I had made the order, but wasn't getting an email notification. Then I went back through the PJ ordering process to see what went wrong. On my first attempt it didn't take me to PayPal after clicking "Buy" but was doing that the second time. So I backed out again, and went through it all a 3rd time. What was interesting is that the price changed every time, so they must have real time foreign exchange feeds! It went from $488 to $490 to $489. So $489 it is, and they're now on the way.
