I wouldn't say so. The VSD5 is definitely unique in how much detail it can push forward (thanks to the spotlit treble) but I still feel Gr07 is the more hi-fi sounding iem overall.

Is there any nice replacement/side grade from the gr07 be then? ( not too expensive, just a backup pair, my wallet is empty now ;P)

Replacement, I am not sure. But side grade, I think there are quite a few options. Are you looking for a change in sound signature? If not, I personally find the BA200 a very nice GR07 alternative (in terms of sound). It is a bit more focused on the mids and has slightly cleaner high frequencies compared to the GR07, but is also slightly less bassier. Technical proficiency is similar.
 
Currently they are going for 99SGD at stereo. For the price they are terrific.
