I see. So the 222 isn't worth the extra $$$ if I don't own any balanced headphones cables
Most headphones can be run balanced by swapping the cable and balanced output on V222 is quite a bit better than the single ended output. I would rather get the V222 and swap to balanced cables on those headphones that have one connection for each cup than go for a v202.

I have compared the Mentor with the V550 in the Mentor review and the V550 with the V222 in the V222 review so do the math!

+1 on this comment.
Even though I'm using SE input cause my Lampizator dac is SE, I still prefer using the balance HP output of the v222. Slightly wider soundstage with better separation.
Better go for V222 @plzTJ

I looked all over the place for a V222 and the only store that had them in stock was Thomann, so I ordered on Thursday and it arrives lunchtime today - not bad Germany to UK with a weekend in the middle.
