Yes, I have thought of that. But I would avoid such comparison given the very different lengths of time (and the different types of recordings) I spent with the V200 and the amps I own. On one hand, the V200 may give me a "wow" feeling that may lead me to bias toward it. On the other hand, having spent more time with my amp I may also develop a bias towards them too.

At the end, I think a simple sharing of the initial impressions is the best I can do.

Good current numbers... Wonder how good the V200 would be with an LCD-2 :)

Don't know about that but I own the V200 and the GS-1 with stepped attenuator and I will be selling the GS-1.

That helps. I planned to grab GS-1 before I bought the V200. Actually the incredible delivery time of GS-1 let me made that decision.

Still have to hear them. However for me being in Europe the Violectrics are much easier to obtain. Not sure to go for V100 or V200 though. The usb dac  is useless for me and I want the one that synergize best with the LCD-2. From what I read it should be the V200 having less bass and other "audiophile" tweaks?

I strongly suggest go for the V200 because you have almost all of the top headphones ;
I have JVC DX1000 and Beyer T1 in your list. Please believe me, the T1 with V200 give me one very very dynamic listening pleasure.  This makes me understand what a 1 Tesla magnetic flux can do ...

The V100 & 200 both share the same sound signature, while the V200 has extra command capability & definition.
I never use its USB, cause I don't have the music I want in my computer, but that's only me.

And I am also on the pre-order list of LCD-2

Very interesting to say the least.
At what date did you preorder the LCD-2?
If you have an Auditor/Phonitor you would be my favourite head-fier of the month at least .

I am mightely impressed by the Auditor I have to say on the T1. But the specs for low impedance headphones aren´t all that impressive. I am quite sure it´s more then enough for just about any dynamic headphone but not sure about planars. Particularly with that bass response they seem to have.

Would be quite interested if any have these two amps and can compare soundstage on them.

I made the LCD-2 pre-order earlier last week, and Alexander from Audeze said the wait will be at least one month

Yes I also have the Phonitor for over a year, but don't use it very often nowadays.
I prefer natural sound decay, which is very noticeable with acoustic instrument & classical music, and euphonic.

Re the soundstage, I am not sure which one is bigger or smaller, or more realistic ...
but the setup, for example AC quality on my CD source and equipment support, makes substantial improvement on the overall tonality, and space perception.

I would say audio tweak may not always be noticeable, or big different, when I am using the 2-channel speaker system.
But with headphones I find the tweaks are easy to notice.  IMHO the phones are literally on the surface of the ear therefore tiny difference becomes not subtle anymore.

I originally bought the V100 and sold it to upgrade to the V200. The V200 is more dynamic and more refined than the V100.
I think nowadays the USB DAC is an option in the V200 so you can order it without it.
Check with Fried.
