I don't do X-mas but I got the stupid candle as a present. Candles are as anachronistic as vinyl records. Just as a good whiskey has taken its time. Some things are just enjoyable. I guess that's is why people celebrate the pagan Christmas which is a lot older than the birth of Christ (whom I follow, just FYI).
So I wish you all a few nice days to think about what is really important. Love, togetherness, maturing. And why we do the things we do and for what reason (or for whom). It's not for thinking of the past, it's not for the presents, but for the gratefulness of the present and the future. And I really, really hope for true freedom in the future. For all of us.
One great moment from last night was, when “kids” asked to play Adele on turntable. And enjoyed it.
The downside? Non of them knew what to do when the last track ended.
And said, “it’s not the same like Spotify”. Lol
Food intake overload. That's for sure.
One of family members owns marantz tt-15s1. Great, ready to play turntable setup when it came out years ago.
I thought it would be a good idea to introduce him to new way of stylus cleaning via inexpensive ultrasonic cleaner.
He definitely loved the idea. So, I just ordered another one since my old one, never made it back home with me. Lol
I know one... Find my lost albums. Can't find Alan Parsons project. I know I have them but I must have misplaced them. Sometimes I store thing just a little bit too safe. Not under T or A or P. *scratch*
Stereotomy and Turn that is. Ow well, I have them as dsd files.
I don't need to unbuckle because I eat normally, and well. Every day.
It’s annoying knowing you have something, somewhere, and the memory works really well at remembering exactly where it was the last time you saw it years ago, but can’t remember where you subsequently moved it to ..
As opposed to walking around in this strange hotel and meeting this wonderful woman... only to find out you've been married to her for 60 years already.
I keep finding these great mono records behind my still to clean stack. Old HMV, Columbia, Decca, RCA...
Not doing much of any excessive vinyl listening lately. Instead, I have occupied myself with more in depth SRA experimentation. And ways to capture, actual in-groove angle and suspension relation as it varies between cartridges.
