This thread is dedicated to unique Vintage Cans, after purchasing some koss pro 4AAA, i have become a vintage headphone connoisseurr and i just love the designs of old, they sure don't make em like they used too.
Feel free to bring to light any unique, hard to find, or just plain weird vintage can. it can be difficult to gain knowlege on some of these old school phones, hopefully the headfi community can pool its knowledge and help some folks out for this niche market. Thankyou for your interest.

Ill start with the Musicland Maestro SHR-5-i do love the look of these retro cans, unfortunatley google did not yield much info, maybe someone has some info: date, specs etc.

sansui made great stuff. the sansui ss-20 headphone is readily available on ebay. its a 2-way design, built like a tank, and sounds better than 95% of its contemporaries

Then grab a pair of the NAGRA DT48 Silver from the early 50's.. SQ still holds up to the top models of today IMO & a few others..

I love old headphones.
I'm enjoying the Philips N6330 (Sextett made by AKG), MB Quart Phone 90X, AKG K270 Playback and the BeyerDynamic DT880 1980 edition.

just a note for all the new vintage headphone peeps. these old 8 ohm headphones absolutely need an amp or strong receiver headphone output to sound their best!

Yeah, I don't think fiio e5 would make difference. I would need to buy a 6.3mm adaptor right? I should be getting these today.

Hi all,
Long time lurker, first time poster. First got the itch when I dug out my Pop's old Pro/4AAA's a few years back

I'm looking for some replacement cushions for them, but the Koss site doesn't list them. I called customer support and they said they no longer stock them (>.<) Am I out of luck?

Thanks for helping make my wallet sad.

Yes, the MB Quart have a lot to offer in the vintage section. I would like to try out the 85.

They're just your typical crystal radio headsets that some people comically connotate Grados to. Or did you want an actual brand?
