Somehow stock cable of FW1500 turned out to cost 16,500 yen while it's only 11,000 yen for stock cable of FW10000. Both of them are single-ended cables with MMCX connectors, did they actually improve the cable in order to justify that 50% difference or what?

Still taking their sweet time to work on balanced cables for FW10000, it must have involved nothing less than Herculean effort then.

SW01 is really not what one would expect to sound after one experience the FW01. I personally cannot recommend the SW01, as it is a strange beast. It can sound bright in poor mastering. It is jus too file dependent.The earcup are too shallow, and it doesnt isolate as well, I got them over the Ultrasone Edition 7, hoping to use it as my daily closed back headphone, but it just doesnt isolate as well as I hope it would.
Now going from FW01 to FW10000, you also wouldnt expect they are from the same family, simply put FW10000 is on a group on its own.

I don't want to hype up, I just got the unit, and still burning it in, I suggest save your money, skip the SW01, save for FW10000, it is worth looking into.

The SW01 was THAT disappointing?? Genuinely curious.

Today I had time to play with TH900, and was i surprise. Going from TH900 to FW10000, TH900 sounded uneven and off. I went back to TH900 and swap to FW10000, it sounded had the quality of a wide U, with sucked in mids. FW10000 is now competing on headphone levels.

I'm happy, as now I can work around it, and build a system around that.

This is the kind of Info i was hoping to "hear" LOL

Hey guys, can you please confirm if there's any difference between fw 10000 Japanese version and Hong Kong one? I'm about to buy the Hong Kong version (jvc logo instead of Victor) and confused with Japanese version in terms of sound quality etc,

Brise were too meaty for me, crystal cable - good, but I’ve chosen Rosenkranz.

Using mine with tidal and ibasso DC01 on the go, cable is dunu hulk (got missing my 2 other cables), the result is great clean neat high end sound, with lots of bass (although it's not the jvc typo bass) more sounds like Genelec bass, quite punchy when the recording is, and just drums when there are the.

Well, after quite short but still thorough and extensive testing, i can honestly say, yhat first of all Hulk is a better by far cable than kimber, secondly, 10k requires quite a good amplification, and not too birght one, cause they're bright by nature. And dear hf fellow members, its quite an impressive item to own, they're cooler than many over ear hps just because theyre portable their sound is mature and high end, quite unlike many other phones. They are 10x better than my solars. By many features, but mainly theyre organic sounding, very real, natural, acoustically proper.
