Victor HA-FW10000: 10th Anniversary model

I bought an FW1500 a week ago after listening to it at e-earphone Tsutaya, Shibuya, Tokyo, with my Cowon Plenue L. I doubt that you would need a dedicated headphone amp with it, even with the single-ended stock cable, if you have a good enough DAP. The specs are on paper very similar between FW1500 and FW10000, except for sensitivity ( FW1500 is 103db/1mW and FW10000 102db/1mW). Both have 11 mm driver, are rated 6Hz - 52.000 Hz and 16ohm.

I wanted to burn it in with the stock cable first, before starting to experiment with some balanced cables or the Aune B1S amp that I have. I just LOVE the sound and the soundstage of FW1500 – both a huge step up from the FW01 at twice the price. I am pretty sure that the difference between FW1500 and FW10000 is not as big at three times the price. The FW1500 comes with the same case as FW01, except for the logo (His Master's Voice for 1500), so not as great as some Campfire Audio cases and not similar to FW10000, which I still have not managed to see in real life. Until then, I guess I will be very happy with FW1500. If someone living in EU would be interested in a pair of FW01 in "as good as new" condition, let me know. It was JVC's top of the line model until FW10000 (2018) and now its little brother FW1500 (2019) came along.
Great impressions. Can you write a bit more comparing FW01 vs FW1500 ? Is the bass quantity more in FW1500 ? How detailed are they ?
Would you say the signature is close to FW10K (if you have seen the measurements)?
Many thanks for the inputs. I'm seriously considering these for my next IEM.

So is the FW10000 is still in production?

You can still get it, yes.

I would say that FW01 has more bass at the expense of highs. FW1500 is more natural and balanced, has nicer mids and cleaner highs as well as a much bigger sound stage. FW01 is a little bit more sensitive and still a great IEM for many types of modern music. However, after a year I wanted more balanced phones for acoustic music like jazz. I found a good price on Campfire Jupiter and was initially very impressed. However, Jupiter is too sensitive and not the best match for something like Cowon Plenue L. Never heard FW10K so far, but I would bet that FW1500 is soundwise somewhere between FW01 and FW10K, probably closer to 10K.

It was a difficult choice between Dita Dream XLS and Victor FX10k.

Is the XLS really even close to the JVC?
Especially in bass department?
Thanks

XLS is much better in bass, but I don’t like the highs and they didn’t fit in my ears (too short nozzles)

By "much better in bass" you mean the xls has less bass or "tighter" bass ?

How's the Rosenkranz? Does it match with the fw10k ?
I've listened every Rosenkranz but chosen HP-GRb. Without interfering in sweet mids, it gives speed, fuller body to the sound and overall expand the dynamic range.

So if the dita did fit your ears it would even have more bass.
