I'm completely drooling over them. I want some pi.

Also, I wonder if the XS earpads would be compatible with the M-80.

I'd imagine it will be reasonably priced in comparo with M-100. They look amazing btw!

According to the Gizmodo article, it's $212.

For any NYC dwellers here, AC Gears on 8th and Broadway has the XS out to demo. I gave them a quick listen, and while the sound is nice and big with impactful bass and more sparkly highs than its fraternal twin, the thing that struck me the most about the XS is how well and comfortable it fit. Holy crap. They fit better than my V-80 which I've had for over 2 years. My brief assessment of the sound is they have everything that made the M-80 great with a little more extension on both ends of the sound spectrum, although I don't think it's enough to warrant an upgrade if you already have an M-80. Compared to the M-100, I feel the bass is a little boomy and not as controlled and the treble isn't as crisp. The mids, however, are liquidy and I couldn't get enough. I couldn't directly A-B compare since my V-80 wasn't on hand, but I think the mids may be better, and if not, then they're identical.

They do look nice and compact compared to m100s especially for things like jogging
I wonder how the sound compares, if they're an improved m80 I guess they will be a *little* more neutral than m100?
