Actually, I've already emailed them about colors, and it is possible, you just have to include your request in the order notes. And it seems DJ has confirmed the 2 different designs.

Wow, didn't know the dual colors thing, but that gives me an idea.. my original theme on one side, and a counter design and theme on the other, kinda yin/yang or whatnot, but on the other hand unbalanced color choice might end up making it look bad, not as unified and professional as same design and color both sides, though it'd be pretty unique.
Anyone have like a sorta step by step guide-like help, thing, for me to get started? I'm really not that great with graphics.. I got it into gimp, the photoshop template for M-80's shields, i read the rules at the bottom and the guidelines form the website, but I don't know how to make a design. Whenever I draw something on the, Your Artwork Here, layer, i can't see it, only if I draw on like, the base layer or something. I can see it on the side that I drew something, but I can't see what I've drawn while I work on it, it's like it's invisible, though the layer says it's not.

hey guys, just got a pair of the crossfade lps for christmas and really wanna get some customs shields ordered before the 20% code expires on dec 31.  anyway i really love the band coheed and cambria and was wondering if anyone knew the legailty of using their symbols for my shields is.  i really wanna get two different shields, one being the dragonfly and the other as the keywork.  examples for those that don't know.

i haven't played with illustrator for a long time but it seems pretty simple to trace these and make them ready or i have a friend that can probably do it in like 10 min.
think i might go red design on black shields and maybe even think of a lyric 
any thoughts would be appreciated

IIRC, V-moda states that you need permission to use copyrighted logos, the example they give is mickey mouse, which requires permission from Walt Disney.

Wow, those do look nice! Those are M-80's right? My M-80's just arrived a few days ago, happy with them, though the shields look smaller than I had expected. Your designs look nice on those.

I've seen in the v-moda's website I can buy shiny brushed metal or matte brushed metal. Does anyone know the difference? Which ones are the shadow M-100 wearing by default??

The Shadow M-100s have the brushed black metal shields on them. The shiny black shields are just that, black with glossy finish.

Hmm, well the designs sure look cool, but I'm still not sure how much detail V-MODA can do on shields. Since they're LP's, they have a bigger shield than the M-80's but still, I dunno about some of the details of the "R". But all in all I think they'll turn out well.

Looks cool, I think the DJ Pon-3 one looks much better but that's just me. The detail on the font and signature came out very nicely.
