Guys this is weird, I just got my v80, and I notice the v80 has more bass than my m100. Is it because I just switched earpads on m100 since my old one was damaged? The new ones I got from V-MODA did some what fit, one tab didn't fit, but the pads were way softer, did I get the lp pads? This so weird...

My LP/LP2 pads are stiffer than that of the M-100's.

IDK but now after I adjusted the pads and everything is back to normal. Man the V80/m80 are AMAZING! The bass so sweet and punchy, they even have a stronger impact than the m100's. The highs are more rolled off on the m80's. But the mid range so so smooth, awesome!

I do not understand why some people don't like them, there was one review saying they are just like solo hd, but sound wise they ARE NOT!! These have so much detail and the bass is awesome.

I really like the mids on the M-80 but also find the highs rolled off.  Too much so for my tastes, but I do still find myself picking them up from time-to-time for certain genre's.  Overall, a pretty nice package.

I agree, it does loose some of its sparkle. But I actually like the highs on the m100. I mainly use my m100 but for situations if I need to wear the headphones around my neck or I need a more balanced sound I just use it. The m100 is better than the m80, a huge step up in my opinion. The m80 is good headphone.

I noted that the bass on the V-80 had more impact in my video review. It's a great headphone and now that it's $150 on Amazon it's a definite steal.

I saw that in your review, and which helped confirm my findings. Great review by the way! I am really enjoying my v80!

Guys,

Thinking about buying this instead of a boom mic pro: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Headset-Adapter-Smartphone-Converts-Lanyard/dp/B0046FMRGA/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_1_1

Would it let me use the one button remote cable as a mic instead if it indeed splits the audio and mic?

You would rather get a boom mic for a lot better sound quality those built in ones are really quiet on the pc

Yes it will work as I got the V-MODA splitter before for my one button cable. However, the BoomPro Mic sounds much better plus volume and mute control. The Apple controls will not work for PC.

like someone else mentioned lately, i noticed today, that my m80 has even more bass than my m100. how could that be? m80 sounds more visceral also. right now, i like my m80 better. anyone else do so?

I noticed that too, but the bass is just more impactful, in the m100 it is more wide and spread out and has more fullness. The m80 just hits more and it isn't that wide so the bass is more noticeable, but it does not have the fullness.
