Just over a year. My set never left home.
The support guys came back and said that the best they could do is offer me 50% off a new set.
Does not make sense in me investing in another pair of V-Modas unfortunately.

Will try out a bluetooth headset such as MDR-1000x

M100 to the 1000x is gonna be shocking to your system.  I personally thought the 1000x sounded like garbage.  You're better off w/ the B&O H7 or the B&W P7 IMO...and if you wanna go Sony, the MDR-1ABT.  Way too much artificial crap going on w/ the 1000x to recommend them.  Couldn't get rid of them fast enough.

Interesting! Are you referring to the clicking sound in the 1000x or something else?
I have not personally tried them yet.

I am looking at NC phones for use at work. I use my M100 at way too high volumes to drown out the surroundings.

Owning the M100 and having just reviewed the PXC550 you might want to take a hard look at it. If you want to go Sony look at the 100ABN as it has a closer signature to the M100. The only issue with the 550 would be if you like to go really loud as it goes loud but not really loud.

lol How loud do people listen to the M-100? On a MacBook Pro even half-volume is pretty loud. I'd imagine you'd be able to give yourself quick hearing loss at max.

I've purchased V-Moda M-100 off eBay. It came with no accessories, just the "Apple" shorter cable attached. It is glued or something, because I cannot remove it... Not even turn it right or left while it sits in its nest.

The cup plates say "DEMO" and "DJ Tech Award Winner, Back 2 Back".

Any guesses where it might come from?
I suspect storefront item, but why glue the cable to its nest?

that's unfortunate. V-moda offers warranty repair and discounted lifetime replacement for purchases from licensed sellers. Hopefully everything works out with your headphones

It was "POPULARTHINGS-US", they describe themselves as pawn shop so I suppose not an authorized seller...
I just wonder if anyone ever saw a "DEMO" sample of this model.
Still guessing what that could mean.

What is the issue? You bought a used set on eBay and it's messed up. If that stuff was not mentioned in the listing just file a claim and get your money back from PayPal.

No, I mean it was plugged into the cable socket of the headphone cup.
It should be unpluggable, right?
Otherwise why do they include 2 cables with M-100.

Some demos will glue the cable in place. Otherwise it'll be too easy to place the demo around your neck and walk out of the store.

Tried to remove the stock pads to replace with XL - and guess what..
They're glued as well ))))))
Lucky me.

Anyone ever dealt with Demo-items? Maybe friendly advice, which other surprises I should expect?
