Hi!

So finally I got my M-100 today! And I have to say: They're awesome...

Since I can't upload photos here are just some links:

And here's a size comparison with my old Sony MDR-V700:

The sound out-of-the-box is quite good in comparison to my Sony in-ear. Do you have any tips for breaking in the M-100? And how long does it take?

Myself and most other people have reported next to no burn-in time, or at least not much detectable change over time.

What is the difference between the pads for the lp and the 100? Has anyone tried the lp's on the 100?

A couple hundred pages ago.  Not a perfect fit, but I believe some have made it work.  Virtually no difference in size though.  I think they tried it to get a color option that wasn't available.  Could be wrong there though.

Thanks, I tried going back to see, but gave up after a while. 923 pages is a lot to go through. Just figured if the shields were the same on both maybe the pads would be as well. I just really want to put white pads on them with blue shields, neither is available.

They fit in my M-100 pretty well. There was only one person I recall who couldn't get it to fit properly.

With the LP/LP2 pads I have, the bass is decreased, the mids are brought forward a bit, and the highs get more extension and texture, but grainy texture too.

Thanks miceblue, couldn't get any clearer than that. I just don't know if I want to screw with the sound, now that I'm getting used to them. I recently had the yamaha pro 500's which I loved, but the discomfort was immense. Since having these I have noticed a little change in the sound, feel like there is better separation with instruments and wideness in the soundstage.
