I know dude, I can't convince him, even after I let him audition my m100. He just wants bass, he is not an audiophile and he just want something that puches his skull. (Facepalm). As a m100 owner, I do not like a lot of bass just the right amount like the m100. Neutral sounding headphones sound boring to me after listening to some sony v6, and other sennheiser cans, I just want some bass that makes the can much more exciting. I just wondered since he said he saw reviews on youtube where people compare the lp to the studio, and in the video guy said that the lp had more bass. Plus I am ordering the lp for my sis since she isn't really an audiophile and she prefers looks over sound and she really like the white pearl chrome reflective look on the lp.

If he really needs beats, he can just get a Yamaha Pro 400 and some beats stickers. Or get the beats pro or beats executive, probably the best beats headphones out right now (which isn't saying much).

He said we will settle with the lp, he really like the lp design. I am glad he is away with beats, at least he is investing in a good company,  V-MODA.

I didn´t find the paper towel to be an awesome solution, maybe temporary at maximum. This is basically the same but with a better / more durable and stiff material, plus I am using the softies on the pad. The copper wire solution didn´t work for me either. The sound change should be similar to that one though

CMoyBB has a high reputation here on Head-Fi. That one just looks like a generic D.I.Y. version that anyone can just build. Plus the CMoyBB has measurements published which the above one doesn't. I built a Tangentsoft CMoy for around $30 (check my user profile pictures).

Also, this one doesn't have the bass boost switch. Hence the "BB."

Would any 3.5mm male to male cable work for these headphones perhaps from mono price? I like the included cables but the length really isn't long enough for my pc, I like to have my cable go around my monitor and to the left side (pc is on right).. doesn't work out and I hate unplugging it to use on the go use. Thanks, I really love my vmoda m100's so far! can't wait for xl pads although the comfort was not that great day 1/2 its my 4th day and I listen to music about 4hours each day and the pads have gotten much more comfortable.
