Hmm, went to Radio Shack to listen the the M80's today on my lunch break and came away a tad disappointed. They look and feel great, but the bass wasn't as controlled as I had hoped.

In fact, I actually preferred my K81 Djs in both clarity and bass, but not comfort or cord length (or detachable cord, for that matter). Am I crazy? Or possible crap set at RS?

Heck, I may end up with another pair of the K81DJs.

Bass tones down with time with the M80s   At least they did for me :)

You better pull the trigger when they drop to $160s again later.  Swift as a ninja.

The stock length of the cables is a bit much for me (~4.5 feet), so I built a new 3.5-foot one for mine.

I ended up getting them for $165, then two days later they dropped to $155, they hadn't even arrived here when the price dropped... Tried getting a credit thru online chat with customer service but that was a big waste of time, even a supervisor wouldn't authorize it. I plain out told them I could refuse delivery and just buy them again and that would cost them more but nada...

So I called instead and within five minutes they had credited me $10 to my Amazon account. YMMV I guess. Also got a $2 Amazon MP3 credit... :p Seems they toss that in with most headphones. Wonder if the M-100 will drop a decent amount like these once they've been out a while.

I just got these today. Spent $155 on Amazon. All I can say is that these sound great straight out of the box. These are very fun to listen to. Very happy with my purchase.

A bit under an inch, I think.  Your ears shouldn't fit in the earpads, though.

Mine works on my iPhone5.. are you using the right cable? My M80s shipped with both an idevice and android/blackberry cable.

Hey, just got these headphones and I was just wondering if the volume control on the cable is supposed to work with iPhone 5? The volume buttons aren't doing anything on my phone.

He said the volume buttons don't work...  The only cable with volume control is the iDevice one :p  The Android/Blackberry only has a single button.  My guess is that it's a defective cable.

Got it.. my volume works and agreed, must be a defective cable.  I actually threw out the other cable so didn't know.
