Val, what is the deal with this new Boom Pro mic cable. It looks so cool, definitely going to order one upon release day. Can we get some more info on it?

They came with the new pre ordered m100s. Not sure if there will be more on the market

I received mine from Amazon a couple days ago but haven't been home more than 5 minutes except to sleep, haven't even opened them! I plan to tonight, how do you know if you got the newer Speakeasy cable?

The mic is positioned higher and closer to your face while the audio controls are positioned lower and closer to your chest. I believe the previous version have the mic and the controls together and so it would be positioned closer to your face.

I let mine burn in for 100 hours by letting my iPod shuffle through my songs.  These were great out of the box.  There were very minor changes after burn in.  All I can say is that these are some wickedly good headphones.  Great for $155.  Very good overall.  Very satisfied with this purchase.

They're great, right?!  It makes me happy to put them on my head every time I use them, as if the newness hasn't worn off at all.

Hey guys,

I just got my M80. I have a question for you guys--compared to the m50s and ultrasones 580, is it an upgrade?

i was thinking about gifting it.

Maybe technically speaking it is an upgrade, but it depends strongly on your personal tastes. For example, I love the sound of the M50, but for me the M-80 are just like "meh".

Maybe it is a slight upgrade but if you already have one of those it may be more of a sidegrade.

I just got a new pair of m 80 from amazon. I was listening to it everything is good. I like the sound wish it had a little bit more bass. I streched the headband a little and now i can hear something is loose in the left earphone. Sound is normal to me but When its off and i move the headphone around i can hear something moving inside...Im so scared i think i broke something.
