Upgrade from Schiit Fulla worth it?

I'm currently using the HE-400i's and a Schiit Fulla (the original one) as my DAC/AMP. Would there be much of an audible difference switching to a dedicated DAC and AMP, specifically the Magni 3 and Modi 2?

On a side note, I may buy the Massdrop/Sennheiser 6xx in the future. Would those two be enough to drive it?

HE-400i has a relatively low sensitivity so if you listen at louder levels there will be a lot less distortion and noise. Fulla is also USB powered and unlike the Fulla2 trails off output at high impedance, so the same will likely be true with the HD6XX despite its higher sensitivity.

That does not guarantee you'd hear the improvements, that you'd consider it worth the expense, or that the difference is even an improvement to you as some people tend to prefer certain subjective qualities even over technical prowess.

If you don't hear electrical interference and your Fulla makes your headphones loud enough, you shouldn't hear much difference. The Magni 3 should be able to drive the 6XX.

I run my HD650 (essentially an HD6XX) from a Magni 2 from time to time and it has adequate bass, dynamics, and volume when run that way. FWIW. YMMV, of course.

The Magni 3 has more output and I can run my HD600/HD800S at good volume at around 6/10 on the volume knob. My MDR-Z1R can run at good volume at about the 1/10 position...

I see, thank you for all of your inputs. I do like my music quite loud, and I know what I currently have really won't drive the 6xx. I'll likely purchase them in the near future then, thank you.

The Sennheiser 300-Ohm HD600/HD650/HD6XX,by reputation, seem to improve when used with a more powerful headphone amplifier.
