I have a pair of DT990s bought in Germany about 20 years ago. I'm now using them in the office with a Zero DAC. They're great, but a bit worn, and the sound leakage really bothers my coworkers. So my requirements are:

  1. Sound Quality comparable or better than DT990
  2. Closed or IEM to eliminate sound leakage (noise cancellation is not a huge priority for me, though)
  3. Plays well with mostly alternative rock, electronic music, industrial, etc.
  4. Solid, tight low frequency bass

From all the research I've done, I am looking at the Denon AH-D5000 -- will those fit my requirements? Are there any others I should consider?

Other headphones I own:
  1. Sennheiser HD590 (open, same leakage issue)
  2. Sennheiser PCX 450 (SQ too muddy)
  3. Sennheiser CX300 (not in the same league)
  4. Shure E3C (not happy with bass)
  5. Head Direct RE0 (pretty good, but could use a bit more bass)

Thanks in advance for any pointers!
