I have the triplefi10 for quite sometime now and absolutely love it. I also recently acquired a se530 for cheap. My take on both has been similar to the popular notion of the sq 2 iems here in headfi.
Will it be possible to combine the drivers from the 2 iem into 1 single 6 driver custom. I aredy emailed UM but i think theres nothing to lose asking you guys for opinions.
I just want to know if it will be possible to combine the 2 iems and get the best characteristics of the two without the respective weaknesses

Sam just replied, that was fast, and he said no can do.
I figured as much, seeing that for a 6 driver iem, the drivers come in 3 pairs and sourcing them from 2 diffrent iems, the drivers canot be simply paired together as they will result in a lot of sound holes.
I should have thought more about it before i asked, hehehe.
I think ill be selling the se530

Does anyone 'know' if TF10 + UM1 drivers will sound good/make an improvement?
(I have a broken UM1 and the drivers are the only parts that can be salvaged.)

How long does the process usually take?  I contacted UM and they said they coudl actually refit my Shure E2c into custom molds (even though they are dynamic... sweet)!  Jsut trying to time it out correctly.

Just picked up some TF10s that I think I'm gonna send to Sam for the TF18 upgrade.  Any advice to expedite this process.  I've already emailed him to get this thing started.  
 
How many bores?  Filters?  I'm gonna go with Westone cables as I find them most comfortable for on stage.  Black, no artwork.  This is rock and roll people

That is the same question I would like answered, I've emailed Sam although I guess he'll reply after the weekend.  If the drivers in the UE700 are similiar or the same as those in the sf5 pro then we are in business as MaoDi used those in his six driver UM customs.

its a hybrid of dynamic driver and armature driver, for mid-low and high respectively.
