There are truly great IEMs in every price bracket. Not sure why you have a problem with the high end iems. Nobody can own them all. Just buy the ones that work for you. More choice is a good thing, not a bad thing.
I just don't understand how some 10-driver IEMs can cost $500-600 while another costs $2,000. I don't see a rational differentiation in materials to justify such a wide range of pricing.

Clearly some people do see value in them or they wouldn’t be buying them. You can buy the $500-600 versions and be totally satisfied. Why do you care if others are spending more?

Driver count by itself means nothing about sound quality. Anyone can buy off the shelf drivers and package them into a shell, which actually does happen. Customers need to do reading for informed buying decisions, based on more than looking at the driver count

P.S. this is responding to a post looking at the driver count only and not about this product, although on the subject this is the third Mest model within a relatively short time...

Easy answer to that, looks like this industry has taken a page out of the swiss watch industry and just upping the price and see when consumers will tap out then dial it back just a little. Sadly though with loose monetary policy, plenty of people are flush with money so this trend is not going to stop until the next GFC. Companies figure might as well make as much as possible while the getting is good now..

One word....Tuning.
But that is more a question of employing the right sound designer and does not necessarily mean that an IEM has to cost 1000 Dollar more 😉

Most likely, these are prerequisites for the release of MKIII, which they will probably release in three months.🤣🤣🤣

That's okay. I just bought the MEST OG when they announced the MEST mkii. Prices instantly dropped. Buy the Indigo when they announce the Indigo mkii in 6 months. You'll get it for half price.
