So why not use HQ earbuds?

Got any suggestions? Seems like a dying breed. Outside of the head-fi thread on earbuds, it's really, really sparse recommendations/reviews out there.

My personal favourites - the VE Zen2. Pricey but worth it. If you want a really cheap insight into the quality you can get from an earbud - VE Monks.

Thanks, heard a lot about these. Think it's time to pull the trigger and give them a try. My only concern was the comfort but I'm seeing people are using silicone rubber hooks which I've used before and really liked.
