Spiraling multiverse of debt….
I no longer have RH with me. From what I can recall, the bass is very different, not just quantity, the bass from Mentor is truly unique, something I have never heard before.

Maybe I should bring my set or Red Halo FE’s then to be sure to compare with the new release Mentor.I no longer have RH with me. From what I can recall, the bass is very different, not just quantity, the bass from Mentor is truly unique, something I have never heard before.
My favorite part of RH, is how the open and airy treble mingled with the juicy sweet mids. I think RH will still hold the crown in this area.
Unfortunately, both RH and Le Jardin were sold out in North America. Well, we still have the very last two pairs in our headquarters gallery. I heard Andrew has ordered them, but I am not sure if they can arrive here by the time of CanJam SoCal.
Anyone at Canjam who wants to hear some truly incredible owed it to themselves to hear Red Halo FE - it is a masterclass in audio reproduction

That looks very beautiful! Interesting to compare with other bone conduction like Kublai Khan. I can't wait for SoCal impressions!

kublai khan mids are thin and too forward and too neutral, its forward in the wrong areas, as if pushing a narrow spectrum forward, seriously they messed up the mids totally, its strange why they opted for such mids, the tuning this times is not to my liking at all, i tried all genres and could not enjoy its signature at allThat looks very beautiful! I believe Kublai Khan's BCD shares some similarities with the OBC we used in the MEXT. Both Khan and MEXT are coil structure drivers. It is a classic type of bone conduction driver which is now getting popular. The Dual Sides Bone Conduction in MEST, the 2nd gen d-BCs in Mason Series and the Frequency Shift BCD in Mentor are house innovated layered structure piezoelectric bone conduction drivers by UM.kublai khan mids are thin and too forward and too neutral, its forward in the wrong areas, as if pushing a narrow spectrum forward, seriously they messed up the mids totally, its strange why they opted for such mids, the tuning this times is not to my liking at all, i tried all genres and could not enjoy its signature at all
The coil structure bone conduction has been in the audio industry (not HiFi industry tho) for a while, it has it's own unique signature. From engineering's perspective, it is a bit hard to control the vibration of that coil driver. Not gonna lie, from the feedback I have received, MEXT is having a similar problem you described, reported by some of our customers. As far as I know, it seems like a common signature of this type of driver. However, some others really enjoy this type of unique sound.
The layered bone conduction is a more advanced type of driver that has ultra low distortion, very stable vibration range. It is also more effective in transmission because they are dual sided. But it doesn't trigger the bass as much as the coil structure drivers.
That's being said, I would recommend all our fans or audiophiles who want to dip their toes into the bone conduction world try before buy or at least read some more impressions from different sources. You can always talk to us if you want to know more about this fairly new application that we initially introduced to the community in 2019. Of course, the best way is go to our booth during CanJam, this is the only place where you can try all types of bone conduction drivers!

Curious under what circumstances you heard it? Stock cable? In a crowded room? Outside? What was your source? I have very different impressions of the signature - that's why I ask. Mids are forward, yes, but very smooth and balanced. I feel you need them to be forward so the quite impressive depth and layering can work their magic around it. Also, after trying Mason and Evo, KK actually has a bone conduction that works for me. It's quite wonderful when you achieve it.

It has been shipped today. I am sending you the tracking nowMy CIEM Multiverse Mentor is finished and should be shipping out to me ASAP, can’t wait! Got my head fi username engraved on one of the IEMs silver frame but it’s a little difficult to see due to the email app compressing the photos. I will have to take more glamor shots when I have them.
