depends on what you looking for...
if you want a very balanced sound, the Xinhs graphene 8 core is a good all-rounder. I use it with my MEST2 and I'm very happy. more airy than the stock, with a tighter bass that extend down very well.
if instead you looking for a more crispy, more detailed sound, then the Xinhs silver 12 core is a very good cable for the price, but be aware it will be much brighter than the stock. (this one: https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005..._list.0.0.5a553696WI6NJb&gatewayAdapt=glo2ita)
Also , will the 4 core of the same graphene cable do the trick ?

I had a chance last night to do some back and forth between the MEST Mk2, the VE EXT, and the VE Phonix and while there are things that each of them do better than the MEST, neither of them do everything better than the MEST and offer no compelling reason (IMO) for a 2x - 3x price bump.

Agreed with you for Mest & EXT that I have too.
But, each has its own good. and SQ and price are subjective.

I did basically the same thing a few months ago and came to the exact same conclusions

Well I recently did a comparison Mest 2 vs Odin. Odin didn’t get a look in. I was gobsmacked. Matched with my Mojo 2/Poly the soundstage was perhaps layered but not spherical as I see the Mest now being. I continued to burn in the Odin to 100h+ and I was very surprised to struggle to listen to it and “visualise the performance” which is effortless with Mest 2

Just delivered. I’m not kidding, these feel like jewelry. UM included some nice bonus cases too, perfect for storing JH Audio earplugs and adapters.

Wow the custom ones sure look awesome. Looks like you can even see the driver in them.

@shimigg tried a few XINHS cables and found the 8core graphene sounded the best with mest mkii. I recommend waiting on a sale and wouldn’t buy it at full price. One thing I noticed is the last 2pin was a tight fit in the mest.

Another option in the new signature line from effect audio. I feat the Cadmus worked better than the XINHS and build quality and components used where much better. In my system it sounded great. Depending on what your using the with the mest mkii the Ares S might also work. Keep in mind the stock cable is high quickly and they sound great with the mest.

Just wondering if this is a common thing in industry.? I mean having warranty and in case of product fault staying with out it for months is a bit of a push.

So far i had only 2 major faults with other companies and i got iems replaced in an instant. Though i know of instance where repairs took 8 weeks onwards. So i suppose its a hit or miss.
Western companies seem to be a bit more serious about it.
