What is the major difference? I like the look of the 2900 more but the specs look identical otherwise.

Open(2900) and Closed(900)
 
Do they have the same FQ chart I don't know.
 
I figured maybe the Pro 2900 since the Pro 2500 is out of production they would keep its sound signature.
Which had a flat treble. But the 2900 has the new S-Logic Plus.
So its no longer called Pro 2500.
But I really don't know if its the same.
 
Pro 900 has a bit of a treble push looking at the charts.

I would go for the 900. Closed, so you have a lot more flexibility when and where you use them. They probably have better bass as well due to being closed. You can also Kees mod them to various degrees, which I am not sure works with the 2900.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about bass, I just burned-in my HFI-780's and they're so incredible.

Is there any different in bass quality between Pro2900 and Pro900?
What is the advantage of Pro2900 over Pro900?Because Pro2900costs more than $500which is more expensive than BeatsPro.

PRO2900 is among the bassiest open-back tho should be mentioned and is nothing like your average open-back headphone bass as it even beats many closed entry-lvl basshead headphones.
 

 
It seems to be only slightly less bassy than PRO900 quantity wise but in terms of impact & speed etc there might also be differences

Hello Everybody! Ultrasone pro900 vs pro2900,It has a great diffrence between them, But I like mostly pro2900 then pro900. And Also majority of people like this pro2900. I can say that it works good then pro900......

The biggest difference is that I can listen to the pro 900 when my wife is sleeping!

seriously no difference, i have pro 900's and  try the pro 2900's on the same source( dac and amp) for home use, pro 2900 are better, open sound are always more comfortable.
