** Update **

Ok, I lied about the RPX-33 because...

New amp for my Edition 9's: Singlepower MPX3 Slam

Current source: DacMagic

MPX3 and Ultrasone Edition 9's

I love this combination: there is increased weight and
authority to the music and a sense of energy and atmosphere.
Incredible detail but with an overall warmth to the sound.
Far exceeded my expectations.
Using Sylvania 6SN7GT driver tube with 2 x RCA 5687 on output.

My Ed9's are now fed by an SPL Phonitor.

They are more controlled and less fat on this diet.

Are you running Balanced or SE?

I fed my Ed9 with Phonitor. Realle the control is high and less fat is obvious. But, for me, its sound is very cold. Finally i fed with Lehman Audio Black cube. I like very much.
I run SE from a Primare CD31. and SE to headphones (with cable Cardas).
With V8 lis very good for me too. I prefer BCL.
I don´t like with Mapletree HD.

I also now am using the SPL Phonitor as my amp.  I still have the Yamamoto but I think the Phonitor does a different sound profile completely changing the UE9.  It is not worst or better just a completely different sound.  I still enjoy both.
