Please try my setup right now: HM602 > TTVJ Slim > Solid Copper IC > Edition 8
 
It really is one of a kind already. I prefer the TTVJ overall compared to the Pico, Hornet and XO2 amps. But the other amps definitely have something to offer.
As for the IC, I also have a Mundorf silver lined with gold which adds more air and clarity and a bit more engaging vocals but slightly brighter sound.
 
I am actually looking for more ways to improve the Ed8 sound since it is my favorite closed can to date. Anyone here have tried recabling the Ed8 especially the stranded copper cable of Alo Audio? It might cure the Ed8's lack of mids and body even with the TTVJ Slim strapped on.

after going thru as many cans as i can ill/afford to lay hold on...
the akg271mkii is one of the very few tat left a very very good impression.
the soundstage is fenomenal, and quite balance up and down..and its very hardy and light.
the others would be the dt770/600 and hd600.
These are AFFORDABLE and GREAT VALUE options.
Headfi can stop right there..

BUT of cos, life being LIFE...
we have the ed8s and hd800s and the rest of the stratophones....
they dun belong to the sensible-buys..
they are insane-buys..
u need supersoft PIRELLI tyre$$$ and rim$$$ just to match the engine$$$$$$$$$$$.
and mountaingoat skin$$$$$$ under your thighs.
 
Are they "good"...of cos..somewhere beyond good..u just need abit of time to find it,
to get a sensibility of VALUE...after the purchase.
Oh i do love my ed8...such a joy.
i dun want to know y i love it.
i just do.

Ps: I tend to play at much higher volume on the ed8...n the surround effect is much more pronounced, it's non fatiguing.

Admittedly I did not listen to many songs with the ipod- I'll have verify with some demanding tracks to not give anyone the wrong impression.  That'll have to wait until next week tho, am sadly stranded on a Caribbean beach (without the Ed 8) for the next few days.

No Problem :) It is my everyday task and I hope I will get the same :)..
 
Actually I am looking for some closed HPs and I am focused on the Ultrasone..

Stockholm is cool, but be sure to have a place to stay at. I was in Stockholm this weekend and I didn't have a place, so I was out all night long and slept over in a random girls apartment. It was creepy.
 
That amp was weird. It looked like a pipe.

Yeahh thats it, the pipe :) :) and I am loving it..
 
Already ordered a DAC in a pipe, actually custom made..
 
Last step..some good ED8 to find..
 
Concerning Stockholm. My brother studies there and mama said lets go there to be together (actually it sucks but I have enough music..)..
 
Concerning random girls, I have to talk to my girlfriend..
