Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread

In the UK we're talking about 170gbp, less than 300$. Considering they pay more taxes over there, built quality issues and poor feedback, I wouldn't be surprised if the price comes down soon in the US too.
That's exactly what happened in China too. Built quality problems haven't been solved until about 4 or 5 months ago. The price stayed at the low level, so the feedback wasn't that bad now.

I enjoy my RE400s far more than my UE900s
My GR07 BE sounds less veiled than my UE900s and more enjoyable and is built like a tank in comparison both were a fraction of my UE900s which were modded with the pin holes covered and used with the 100ohm adapter. They help somewhat but the mids are still veiled in comparison. Even my XBA3 which I got for $50 is better built.

Don't get me wrong the UE900s were my first real iem and I still like them for certain music but there's always that slight veil that bothers me and they are far too delicate for the gym. My gym phones is the RE400s driven simply from an iphone4s

I also was expecting a better RE0 but I still think it sounds quite decent for $99 and not muddy as Canadian said. I was trying to list some phones that are cheaper than the UE900s that aren't muddy and if they broke at the gym you wouldn't be so worried.

The price of a can is not directly related to how muddy it is

Do you know?
Hifiman never sold RE0s and RE262s to Chinese market.

They're probably the best phones marketed this year for iproducts so no surprise really going up against the likes of beats and sol republic etc

Can't believe my luck!!!

I didn't want to post this before in case it didn't come off, but it has!

I noticed a glitch on the Logitech UE website. They were selling the UE900's for £330.00 plus delivery, total price £169.00.

So I ordered a pair quick and fingers crossed, hoped I would get away with it. I noticed they went back to £330 the day after.

I am delighted to say they shipped yesterday, at £169.00 :). I will get them Monday, so can't wait.

lol I thought this was just me!

Howcome not many reviews say this? I am not sure how to describe it but I think veiled is the word, like it's lacking clarity?

Whilst it has some more details than my xba3s, it certainly isn't as clear... and I think my xba has better bass
