  ClieOS can i ask U a stupid question ..
U said HM-700 was tuned for re400, so can the re400b with HM-700 be better than Re600b + HM 700 ?
Can u do a comparison plz
and Sry about my Eng

I never did compare them both intentionally, but I did listen to them on and off at the same time. I'll say RE400B benefits more from HM700 than RE600B. While RE600B is still ahead, RE400B is very close. If you are thinking about getting the max bang for the buck, I'll say you should go for the RE400B package as I don't think you will lose much over the RE600B package. Between the two, RE600B is slightly less warm / more neutral and better on detail retrieval. RE400B on the other hand has better texture.

  Thx U very much ClieOs
i really want to try a Balance combo
But how about the HM802, is it much better than HM700. i afraid it 's too big for portable using...

Definitely a yes. HM802 is at least on par, if not better than HM801.

Got my HM700+RE400B combo & HE400 earlier this week, the HM700 combo sounds really good w/o too much burn-in, and HM700 can drive balanced HE400 with out feeling underpowered. The only issue is the harsh treble of HE400, I guess EQ is a must.
Hifiman started selling the new HM700 + HE300 combo in China for only $300. I wish they would offer a HM700+RE400B+HE300 super combo like a double lens camera kit=)

No, it is the R600B = balanced cable. I don't know about what case or accessory it will have.

Just checked. It seems the early version, the one I have seen, doesn't have balanced plug. The current version already has it.

HE400‘s treble is better now after 40h of burn-in. User's manual suggests at least 150h of burn-in, still way to go =) Awesome separation + DAT BASS!
As for HM700+RE400b, very enjoyable combo with exceptional value.  Definitely worth your cash if you don't mind some background noise (not noticeable while playing music) and clicking thru play list.
