I've got the "grey" Turbine Pro and the cable tangles like crazy.  It is amazing compared to my M6 and W2, which I hardly ever have to untangle.
 
Are the Golds and Coppers this bad?.

Fwiw found the same.   After the westone cables, every other one seems a bit lacking somehow.

it took me a while to figure tis out, but provided you wrap them using the 3 finger method(dont laugh) you can quickly unravel the headphones by holding the buds together and letting go of the cable. I find they get tangled only when I unravel them jack first.

Didn't have that problem. I usually wrapped them up nicely and stored them in the little pouch that's provided.
The Pro's have a better, thicker cable and don't tangle as easily.

To answer my own question, I returned the "Greys" and bought the Coppers.  The cabling is waaaay less tangly on the coppers.  It does, however, seem to suffer from slightly increased microphonics.
