Wow you've gone from take it easy on them to dark side real quick.  So proud of you.

It's nothing against Trinity, it's the damned Tinnitus. :frowning2: It's driving me insane... There's no way I'll even enjoy these IEM's with a constant buzzing in my ear. I won't even be able to properly judge them either and it might even worsen my situation...

It'll be more of a heartbreak than anything else when I do receive them. :\

I can't remember which person or which thread, but I read a comment recently by someone who was suffering the same issue as you (meaning tinnitus, rather than slow delivery speeds lol). He sold his IEM's or cancelled his order, and then the tinnitus cleared up.
Learn from the mistakes of others my friend, and I wish you a swift recovery

I could give you $2 and a jawbreaker for the Hunters..... :p

I'll see you and raise you 3 jaw breakers and $4 and throw in the ex-wife.

Lol. I was just loosely quoting from one of my favorite movies. Besides, I'm not mean enough to throw my ex wife into any deals, no one deserves that...

Right. I would not stop enjoying music cause of tinnitus it. There are cures for it. It can even go away on it's own.

I'm not gonna stop enjoying music... But the choice of gear to enjoy it might change somewhat, volume will change, length of listening to it, etc.

I wanted the air for a subway ride between work and home... So we'll see how things go. I'm trying to get the problem resolved, but it's a pain...

True but then if you sell them off you lose bragging rights! :D I know there is a liquid for it that treats is. I'm sure it's available on Amazon. Hope you keep your gear and enjoy it all. :D

I have the same issue and I found that over time, the severity changes so sometimes I can sneak music listening in without being bothered so much.  Also, try various jaw stretching and positioning exercises.  Sometimes I can get the tinnitus to subside by slackening and relaxing my jaw.  I've been dealing with it for at least four years.  It may take some time, but I have confidence you will find a head/jaw position that will allow you to still enjoy your music...iem's and all.
Also, be aware there are certain foods and medicines that can aggravate it.  If you can avoid them, it can help.  It may never completely go away, but you can learn to manage it and enjoy music.

And I say all that with my tinnitus raging at this moment.

But later, I'll find a way to listen to music and not the rushing in my head.

I know this is insanely off-topic, but could you tell how you got your tinnitus? I'm always listening at 70% volume for max an hour (commute) and sometimes an hour at home if I find time. I try to avoid tinnitus at all cost of course. It would help a lot.

Got hit with chronic migraine headaches...then the tinnitus started.  I was in the US Air Force for 20 plus years and managed to avoid damaging my hearing even on the flight line.  I stopped listening to loud music years ago.  I spoke with a Ear/Nose/Throat specialist and he said there may be no specific cause.  Some people are just more susceptible (according to him).  In my opinion, it was the combination of headaches and all the medications they prescribed to try to kick the headaches...so now I still have the headaches and the tinnitus.  Back on topic, I'm really enjoying the Phantom Sabres (between the tinnitus) and can't wait to compare the sounds of the Master and Icarus III!

All the above is IMHO and YMMV...

P.S. - It was nine years between my retiring from service and the tinnitus kicking in...

yeah, I take frequent long hiatuses from head-fi for this reason. 1/3 of the IEMs i try set off my tinnitus and TMJ and set my ears to ringing for the next few weeks to several months. When i find something i like the sound of I just lurk for a year or two...
