T+A has a native 1-bit DSD converter in their DACs, Cen.Grand has a 1-bit DAC, PS Audio as mentioned already, and TEAC/Esoteric's newer (since 2020 or so) Discrete DAC also has a 1-bit mode. 1-bit DACs have been around for quite some time, but they're usually in the ultra-high-end.
Yeah…I bought an RU7 because it was the most affordable way to get into a 1-bit DAC for experimentation. Definitely a unique experience, but also handy since it’s a portable DAC that has pure balanced line out functionality, very handy.
I suppose either you’ve never seen/heard of the Cayin RU7, aren’t aware that it is a 1-bit/native DSD DAC, or know something about the D90 III Discrete and also the RU7 that makes them different and I am not aware of it.

So I have a D90SE (the one that can do the MQA stuff) and a Schitt Lokius. This new one has a built in EQ so essentially I could remove the Schitt from the stack and have one less thing am I reading that correctly? Beyond that, the D90SE sounds phenomenal is it really worth an upgrade?

I was thinking about grabbing one but really I have a tachmin or w/e that measures like a rocket ship for 1/4 of the price. Is there anything to this '1 bit' sound? I like my r2r dacs but I wouldn't say I could pick one out in a crowd or anything. They just sound great!

EQ in the digital domain as it is performs better, plus there is a preamp control to allow boosting frequencies without adding distortion. Furthermore, the Topping equalizer is PARAMETRIC, which provides WAY WAY WAY better control than the fixed Q and fixed frequency selections of the Schiit unit.
It is a discrete, resistor ladder/based design, but the conversion is done in 1-bit DSD and ultra-high sampling rate, rather than multi-bit PCM format.
