To the folks that use a DDC for i2s connection... What is your experience?

Now that I think of it, with Mojo 2 I never had this problem... So maybe it's source dependent
I'd agree with gimmehheadroom.

All of the audeze I've heard is very subdued in the treble. Not a fan of their house tuning.

To me, the most easygoing HP I have is the HE6se V2, can listen to them for days on end

Yes , the highs are recessed but there's something maybe more in the upper mids that is fatiguing. This issue was exacerbated with the new setup...

Given that they're dark and with recessed highs, sometimes I get grainy treble that somewhat add to the fatigue I feel.

I need to say though that this is especially true with my new setup, maybe I'll return to the old one when I want to rock the LCD2C.

The HE6SE V2 has the most agressive mids of anything I've ever heard.

I think you're living south of the equator, where water turns the wrong way going down the sink :p

I tried them stock but there's something in their tuning that I don't like. Lots of people enjoy them stock, I'm not one of them 🤷

Just say "No" to EQ

It causes many problems than it solves.

Man what you're saying it's true if unEq'd, but I happily use an Oratory1990 preset and those mids are eminently tamed

You're saying like I am the only one saying this but there are a lot of people that find the HE6s non fatiguing and the LCD2Cs fatiguing

But again, I use them EQ'd, and I want to stress that I like to use eq only where's needed because, as you say, makes things worse a lot of the time. For a lot of IEMs and HPs I find Oratory presets boring at best

If you search on the web you'll find a lot of people that has the same issues I have.

It can happen, and I am north of the equator bro, I swear.

Don't get me wrong here, I love them with some pairing, find them a bit harsh with others. And yes they're laid back, but sometimes, especially stock, for me they're fatiguing and too harsh.

Trying to convey what I think is fatiguing... as this user says, at times they can be a bit too hot in the treble, forward in the mids and that for me is fatiguing.

But this is especially the case with Draco and M19 and I don't know why, it's just that after a while I need to put them down because I'm tired of those spikes/resonant harshness

That's all 😅

You know what, it happens when I go balanced (Invictus XLR cable) with the M19... With other equipment that hotness is relatively less problematic to quite bearable/almost non existent. Sorry if I stressed this issue but I wouldn't want to pass as someone who doesn't know his own headphones 👀

No man I'm talking LCD2C. The Classic yes. Piercing highs sometimes and forward mids can be fatiguing.
Oh wait... I overlooked this post.
I have LCD-2c as well - not fatiguing ever... at least not when fed via Dragonfly, RME ADI 2 fs or Yamaha integrated...
