When I was testing tips, my initial impression with some of them was that the bass was very present, then things settle and the bass is gone. The problem with the nozzle is that its impossible to get consistent, there's no "lock". When I remove the tips on my OH10 there's almost a click, lands always on the very same place, there's no movement when wearing.

I also feel that bass boost mud the sound, it need very fine equalization, not boost. I'll experiment with closing the port a little.

I wish all nozzles were like on the OH10.

Amps for evaluation: iBasso P4 (600mWPC), Cayin C5 (800mWPC), Tube Amp BL-2 (tube / MOSFET hybrid, about 400mWPC).

The P4 can, of course, be optimised by opamp-rolling!

Currently using Final E3s. Somewhat unusual colouration, and quite uncomfortable.

Linum BaX G2 on order. The stock cable is a joke.

Just got mine today. Using them with the JVC FW10K 3.5mm cable while I wait for the 4.4mm cable I ordered for these. So far, so good. These sound nice. Stock tips are garbage though. Currently tip rolling to see what I like best, but Spinfits CP100 seem nice.

Question: do you guys use o-rings to prevent the tips to slide all the way down the nozzles? And do you find them better with a shallow or deep insertion?

Have been listening to these all afternoon and I have to say these are f... amazing. ZX300 set on High Gain, very slight EQing, Crystalline Audio foam tips and these sound unbelievably good while being super light and comfortable. I'm speechless that these cost me just 115€.

HM-650 with Minibox card won’t drive them. Not even on high gain...

HM-603S does a better job, but the bass is a little woolly. Although it isn’t spectacularly powerful on paper, the 603S is one of the few DAPs that can drive the Beyerdynamic DT-250/250 properly.

Cayin C5 (800mW per channel) works a treat!

Mojo is still the best, though.

Trying Comply T400. The bass issue is fixed, but the treble is slightly muffled. It’s a challenge to keep the nozzles aimed up the auditory canal...

I have some TSx 500s arriving tonight.
I really disliked the Final Es. There seemed to be a „quacky“ colouration.

I would say that we have already reached HE-400i level (but still nowhere near HE-500).

The Linum BaX cable should be here next week.
