The Comply TSx 500s are the best tips IMO. They isolate properly, are comfortable, and fix the bass issue without muffling the treble (less obtrusive than the T 400s). Due to their spherical design, they also allow the nozzles to be angled correctly into the auditory canal. Unlike the T 400s, they fit securely but can be removed non-destructively...

New P4 battery pack is on the way. I have a suspicion that this amp, whilst old, may be perfect for the P1.
Shanling M0 / Shanling L2 / Chord Mojo / Linum BaX G2 / Tin HiFi P1 (Comply TSX-500 tips)
So far, so good!
The Linum cable makes a big difference, both in terms of wearability, and in giving them that little bit of extra midrange transparency.
Currently listening to them out of my Audio-gd R2R-11!
...Widor organ music on an old Mercury recording (Marcel Dupré).
These things are absolute beasts.

Cayin N3 > E1DA 9038S > New Bees Foam Tips > P1 .... sonic bliss !!!!
New Bees foam tips give me a perfect fit, great isolation, and best yet, no change on the treble.
Oh boy, the 9038S is a Godsend dac/amp for the P1s. Very present and tight bass, layering and instrument separation go to another level, and the clarity and transparency... OMG.
Ahh, the depth achieved gives a new sense of fullness to the sound. I guess that´s due to the black background provided by the 9038S.
With the Cayin N3 alone as a source, I was far from getting the true potential of the P1. Now I realize how important is having a really good source.
Pairing the N3 to the 9038S provides volume control and I can even have Equ adjustment (right now +2 db @ 32 Hz and +3 db @ 64 Hz). Awesome!!
Less than 400$ to get this level of SQ...Unbelievable..
Cheers, Jose

Personally I want a powerful bluetooth-amp.
Not very interested in buying a stand-alone Android music player without a phone part wasting money nor am I interested in connecting more cables than necessary.

This pairs beautifully with the P1.

Certainly looks nice, but of course the Linum BaX is only about 99€ or so...

At those prices you could also go for a custom from Forza AudioWorks. I have one for my Oppo PM3 and it's outstanding.
I've found that the p1's pair well with pure copper cables as it helps fill out the low end. I currently have an ISN C16 from Penon on my p1, but I also just ordered the ISN C4 - both are around $50.

I got the E1DA powerdac v2 since august. It is only now that I was able to use it with the P1. One word - amazing. Sounds even better than the he400i with the harman preset. Bass is solid.
The mojo does not give the P1 justice. It sounds good but the PDV2 + P1 is simply superb.

One key advantage of the Linum BaX is purely practical: it is incredibly light (the only thing lighter is wireless!) and free from microphonics.

I agree 100%. I recently got the P1. The bass, after eq'ing with the PDv2, is simply phenomenal. The PDv2 turns the P1 from reasonably good iems into fantastic sounding iems. It took me a little while to get them sounding like this though. I found the preset on the HPToy app to be too bright. However, after tweaking the highs, mids and lows I am very, very happy with the sound. Anyone who has the P1 should give serious consideration to getting the PDV2 as well. I was a bit skeptical when I read people saying they thought it was an end game combo, but now I understand why people may think this.

The price to performance ratio is amazing. If you like the P1 with the 9038s you will probably like how they can sound with the PDV2 even more. Personally, I think the Blon03 sound better with the 9038s, than the P1. The 9038s is an excellent dac/amp, but because you can't use the HPToy app with it, you can't squeeze out the extra potential that the P1s have.

the 9038S is so good, is making me rediscover my other IEMs. I just found out BGVP Dm6 benefits greatly when paired with 9038S. Also getting a balanced 2 pin cable for my oldie Unique melody Miracles.
cheers, Jose
