Sounds nice and with True Harman Preset and a touch more bass on the Powerdac as mentioned the bass kicks your teeth out on them.
Its sad that many devices cant drive them its supposed to sound.

Not familiar with your sources, are they better than the Fiio M11?

as muths6 says.. they are DACs ..one can be plugged with USB on any mobile device and the other is best on a Computer. I think they are at least as good. some said they find them better. for me its a no brainer and i have the 9038s plugged in my crappy hiby R3 that should sound with this like that flagship DAP now or even better..

I am supr happy with both devices and never had such high level sound quality before. And on those my cables make sense.

but on PDV2 you really have what all owners agree the endgame combo with tin P1.
With the True Harman preset its blowing me from the sofa every time i plug them in

Holy Heck! I thought I'd never find a way to appreciate these. Every ear tip I tried either made these sound like "Tin" cans or, if they did sound good, the triple, (quadpruple?) flanged or every other ear tip hurt like hell after a few mintues. I can understand why so many are for sale. I finally found a pair of foams abou t5/8" in diameter and they really opened up the the sound stage and layered instrumentation. They also need a thermonuclear level of headphone amplifier, I tried my LG V20 with the high impedance trick, It was pathetic. I got a balanced cable and used my ES100 a little better. The Fiio Q1 MKii started hitting balls out of the infield, but my Fostex A4BL got these hitting much harder. Listening to some DSDs

Really sounded really wonderful.
TLDR
Ear Tip roll until it works for you, Use them balanced connected to the highest powered amp you can get your hands on. Play your highest resolution music you got. I don't think these work well with anything less. IMHO

This "valve-close-mod" is great! 
I was not expecting that. This moves the bass much more in the desired direction, than just the use of the EQ.
Now the bass is noticeably punchier!

Well I just got my P1 and am stunned at it. What cables and tips do you guys use with it? im using a 8 core copper cable from a banned seller that costs like 50 usd and the Spiral dot ++. Might wanna upgrade to cable 170 from Hakuzens list.

I use the isn c16 cable from penon. Ignore people who say the cable doesn’t matter. I did extensive testing between multiple spc and pure copper cables. The isn had obvious improvement over the the silver plated cables. If you don’t care about bass the improvements are much less noticeable between cables.

Anyone got a recommendation on what tips to use to get a good seal on the P1s? I don't even really care if they're incredibly comfortable but them not staying in my ears properly gets annoying. This is literally the only thing I don't like about them.
