Tidal Lossless Streaming

Really upset, pressed something in Roon, and it added about 300 (if not more - a genre) albums to my favourites in Tidal, and (on mobile at least) can only remove them one at a time...

Not sure what to blame the most, Tidal or Roon :slight_frown::angry:

Try these steps:
  1. From the "Hamburger" menu in Roon select TIDAL
  2. Go to the Collections tab
  3. You should see the TIDAL Collections pop-up. Uncheck the categories you had selected.

Hope that helps !

Thanks!

I'll try this when I get home, and steer clear of that tab on Roon in future!

very sad that tidal has not EQ (

There is a Sennheiser app. CapTune which supposedly gives EQ with Tidal.
I can't get it to import my albums but that is probably me being dense.
Maybe give it a go. The app is free.
I agree that it is pants that Tidal does not have an in app EQ.
It took Spotify ages and when they finally released it I didn't think it's UI was very good.
SpotEQ ,a third party app, payment required, was very good for Spotify IME.

I have Amarra for Tidal and it does give better sound, by a small but meaningful amount, IMO. The GUI is not so good, but the sound makes it worthwhile for me.(using a Mac)

Have you tried latest  Audirvana+. Better interface than Amarra and very quick.  If you have the money and want best GUI on Mac, than Roon + HQPlayer.  I also prefer HQPlayer sound quality over Audivana+.

Amarra for Tidal has good sound quality but the interface was terrible.  Much worse than Tidal's.  And if you have a new DAC with DSD or higher PCM rates, than both Audivana+ and HQPlayer can take sound beyond Amarra.  Audivanaa+ DSD is still in beta mode.

Are there any apps that allow offline playback of Tidal for Android?

I'm trying to connect my X7 to WA8 but unfortunately only UAPP can play music. (And not offline content for Tidal unfortunately)

Even the default music player and tidal won't run normally through UAPP :frowning2:

anyone here find Tidal's cust service for replies is sorely lacking, relative to spotify or apple music?

example:
on june 4 I ask tidal support about any eta on when they will finally get an EQ app or such
.....and only today do they get back to me.

...then they include a cust satisfaction survey (guess how i replied..sorry but not very happy.)

instead I told them they need to up their game in this (CS) dept
...with apple and spotify with any of the few queries that I had
they'd usually get back to me within 2 days...so I find Tidal's delay ironic given they're charging
me double for hifi.... you'd expect the cust service to go hand in hand...esp in the highly competitive
field of streaming, which is only getting heated.

seems their cust service hasn't really changed all that much since i last tried them some 5 months ago.
hope it improves.
