Mine is Time Warner Cable>Erthernet 3.0> Schiit Pyst UCB>Schiit Wyrd> >Ûber Bifrost>Taurus Mk.2. Is your Service DSL or cable, that's the only difference I see?

I think my PC is only 8, but it is now a dedicated music server. I have deleted everything except Tidal, Naxos, JRiver, the windows OS and a couple utilities. My guess is more RAM is better, but not sure.

Thx again. FWIW, tried 3 dog night vs. my downloaded CDs, and Tidal wins. Bass on the HEK of Easy to be Hard is incredible. Hard to believe it's just a different master. There's something about Tidal that seems to pull something more out of redbook.

Actually I was noticing the same thing in comparison to ripped CDs in FLAC files, any of you highly literate computer audiophiles care to weigh in?

Mine is streaming perfectly using both web page and app, on my 5yo acer laptop w/4gb ram, Windows 7, over ATT wireless.

But I just replaced my cdrom drive so I will be canceling my subscription again.

Tidal's search function is horrendous. I was searching for Above & Beyond, as artist, and i was getting such poor results. There is literally a multitude of missing search results. It is almost as if they don't want you to find the stuff. I just spent 10 minutes finding the particular song i was looking for. The band's name is completely wrong, showing up as two separate groups "above", "beyond" for the album i was looking for. Stuff like this makes me want to cancel my service. The purpose of streaming is convenience.

Amen. I thought it was just me, but there are no meaningful partial match search results, which is what are all used to and expect from using Google.

Has anyone listened to Apple Music and compare it with Tidal? Thanks

I posted elsewhere but I've listened to both Apple Music and Tidal (lossless) thru Amarra sQ.  Tidal has better separation, deeper soundstage, clearer highs, deeper bass, and more dynamic.  It's all very subtle though and harder to tell on some songs than others. You just get the feeling that music is more alive on Tidal.  With that said, Apple Music has a better music selection and better interface.  Kind of sucks that Tidal is really the only lossless streaming service in the US beside Deezer (which is tied to Sonos at the moment).

I just did a search in Apple Music for these albums and about 75% of them were in there.  No Blue Stingrays, Steve Winwood's About Time, or Deadbolt Tiki Man.  They had just the Tiki Man song.

So already easy to see that Apple Music has a better catalog.

The only big win for Tidal right now is saw that Prince pulled his music from all other streaming services other than Tidal.  Too bad I don't care about Prince.  But I'm not a big fan exclusive content.  Let them be on all services and the best features win out.  Even saw an article with Trent Reznor saying he didn't agree with exclusive content.  He felt most streaming services were the same, give or take a few song as far as catalog.  Felt that it was going to be the interface that wins out.  Best at music discovery.  I agree with him there but just surprised he's not concerned with sound quality.

Could increasing RAM on my PC from 8 to 16 or 32 gb possible help? Thanks.

Even 4 GB ram is enough...even if more is merrier! 8 GB should be no problem at all!
