Since units are being supplied into countries that do run from power sources that are compatible with the oem wall-wart, will a wall-wart be qualified to suit Australian power source?  Or have I been supplied a very expensive paper weight?

There are these devices known as step-down transformers.

Yes I am aware of them as I referred to in my post not long ago that mine has been delayed in transit for a week, but as I mentioned I was hoping to move away from the need to use one. Will the step-down transformers also need to be qualified in order not to void the warranty?

Any reasonable step-down should do.

Sounding better is a personal thing. I found the hd600 to sound better then the hd700's. (Not in sound quality) So the only reason to buy a cable would be when you have your personal ultimate headphone and there is nothing comparable to upgrade to.
But that is only if cables would make even the slightest bit of difference (which i'm not convinced of)

Let me rephrase that, I would rather buy a better headphone, not necessarily more expensive, before I bought a cable for a headphone that I didn't like as much/probably wasn't as good.

So, simply, something like THIS is what I should use to power the Magni in a 230V country? And the Magni will ship with its qualified wall-wart regardless of which country it is shipped to, correct?

Input: 200 - 240V AC
Output: 100 - 120V AC
I sure hope it can be this simple...

step down transformers can convert 220/230v to 110/120v but the frequency of the ac  is not altered...for example in india, power supply is 230v/50hz whereas its 60hz in the US...will the frequency of the ac signal affect the amplifier performance...

this should be good

Perhaps you need to update your usb drivers? or change your output mode (direct sound, wasapi, asio, etc)?

I've occasionally had intermittent problems like that too. Usually only when I haven't rebooted my machine in a while.
