I'm thinking about getting an IPhone 3GS when my current 3yr contract is up. This way I can eliminate having to bring both my cell phone and Ipod Touch with me in the car every day or on bicycle trips. The only thing is I'm kind of worried about how durable the iphone will be over a number of years (like 3 or more), because if I do get it I won't be upgrading for a long long time.
My LG Shine metal flip phone just feels a whole lot more rugged and less likely to break due to the design. However my Ipod touch seems to be holding up fine so far and I've had it for close to 2 years. Do you think the Touch and the IPhone are pretty well the same as far as reliability goes?
Even so I can't really compare my Ipod and my cell phone cause the Ipod doesn't sit in my pocket all day every day at work. I'm not hard on my phone and don't drop it but it does get wear and tear.
If you guys that have Iphones could give me your experience with your iphones, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
