ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs

This is by no means a complaint, but I am surprised that Linsoul hasn’t adjusted the prices on their ThieAudio products. Some getting an increase in price, and some of the older ones getting a price cut. Demand for the L9 vs the Clairvoyance couldn’t be any more different.

I think the very reason that the Clairvoyance and Monarch are in such high demand is because of their value proposition. Increasing the price would likely reduce the demand by quite a bit. They could probably get away with increasing the price another $25 and no one would really object.

From someone with MBA back ground, this kind of post launch pricing raise is not a smart corporate behavior though, even though demand/supply curve may shift as you described, the branding is also a core value, which in essence, like Sennheiser, will be the one of the most important thing to run the business in long term.

Ok, I guess my comment was less about raising the price of the Monarch and Clairvoyance, but more about lowering the price of their “old” models

Discounting older products with near end of its product life cycle makes perfect sense:thumbsup: It’s happening in all real life products such as cars.

Just got email confirmation today that my Monarchs have shipped! Should be here by the 22nd. Ordered them on 2/12. Having purchased them in the middle of CNY, I'd say that's a pretty quick turnaround!

I'll definitely be giving my impressions on it next week.

Arrived a day earlier than my DHL estimated delivery date, I love DHL.

Hmm Monarch is beautiful.

So I'm trying to figure out how to burn in my Monarchs when I get them on Monday. Ive read that the Monarchs need like 20-40 hrs of burn in before they start to settle in and shine.

But how are you guys burning them in? Are u just playing music for 20-40hrs straight? White noise?

I usually just google burn in noise for headphone on youtube and leave it during nights with like extra ipad.

↑this is the one I’m using, it has 10 hours of pink noise. Good for the headphones IEM with DD. I’m not sure about burn-ins for BA drivers, it sounds identical out of the box and even after burn ins.

Just play music through them non-stop for a couple of days, just at usual to slightly loud listening levels.

I’ve never heard any differences with burn in for BA drivers, but have for DDs and ESTs.

Yea I figured that DD drivers benefit the most from burn in. Not too concerned with the BA's.

I'm planning on just looping it on my iPod playlist for a couple days. :)

Not to get completely off topic, but wine makers always do this. Certain wines that become more popular go way up in price, which is when I stop buying it and go looking elsewhere. So your point makes perfect sense, it's not a good look for a company.

This reviewer pretty much hates the Clairvoyance. First negative review I've seen. Who is Max Settings?
