Not sure on MQA capable devices, as I have not A/B with it before. But yes 24bit is available, however it dependency on the source recording. There might not be any difference in terms of sound quality. So we will be able to play MQAs in 24bit/48KHz quality right?
And MQA capable devices will go further.

MQA enabled devices should unfold up to 24/96 or 24/192 depending on the device. Opus#2 does not have MQA unfolding that is why it should play in 24/48 max.
Only Master library will be 24bit rest are in 16 bit.

How many hours are you getting from a full charged Opus#2, while listening flacs on the device?

To me the 1A is like the warmer opposite of Opus#2. Whether if it sounds good to your ears or not, it all comes back to pairing/synergy of your earphone, and preference. Both sound technically good IMO; resolution, extension, imaging, soundstage, etc. The 1A in special, has a long-lasting battery life feature, and a big solid bass sound which I like. The Opus#2 on the other hand, sounds much clearer, and has a better lighting to the overall presentation. Note size is also leaner, which makes its instrument separation better. The 1A paired with a warm IEM will more likely result in the sound becoming too warm, and intimate. While the Opus#2 when paired with a lean, or bright-sounding IEM, sometimes make the sound a bit too thin. Although some may like this type of sound. YMMV
Recently I have listened WM1A (with latest 3.01 fw) and I found Opus#2 at a little warmer side, and WM1A is clearer sounding lol
Other ideas are similar.

Thanks tried that, did not help. I did a hard reset with my modem and this fixed the problem.

Anybody know how this dap compares to a lotoo paw gold? I'm a metal listener and I've heard that the lotoo lacks bass. I'm thinking of selling my wm1a for one of these daps

I have the WM1A and the Opus#2 and it's no contest. The WM1A is the superior DAP.
The ZX300 is even better than the Opus#2.
What are you using for your IEM and cable? You might want to upgrade that instead of your DAP.

I listen to everything and from classic rock thru grunge and progressive metal.
I've never heard the Final or Meze. But with my Campfire Atlas or Solaris and SXC 8 balanced on tracks like Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused, NIN Terrible Lie or NIN Down in It the bass comes thru loud and clear. I swear at times it makes my head vibrate.

Yes, the Opus is a very good player. I originally upgraded from a FiiO X5 2nd gen and the Opus#2 was a big upgrade. However the sound quality on the Sony players are in a different league compared to the Opus #2. Bigger soundstage, better details and more bass.Regarding SQ?
