Hey guys, are these new updates for the older dsd or just for the newer dsds. Wanna try but I have the 95, 90 and single 97 versions

I tried 0.4L+M and 0.5b on my single 4497 that was linked here but all of them are not working. After reboot only a gray screen.
On Ghosts Taobao link the latest version for the single 4497 is 0.4K, I flashed the 0.4K again and it's working. I don't know how old my DSD is as I bought it second hand, maybe there are older versions that don't support the newer FW.

So before try to flash make sure you have downloaded the 0.4K:

I also found out that the flash process is a little different for the 0.4K, after flashing to 100% some erasing message appears before turn off, the other versions just flash and then turn off.

I checked the Taobao store again, the DSDs got the 0.5b version, unfortunately the file is called ZiShan_DSD_0.5b.rar without the s, this is not working for the DSD. So far it seems the DSD newest FW-Version is still 0.4k.

Could anyone try to flash his single 4497 to a newer firmware than 0.4k? I am really curious about the FW that was postet here before if it is working for someone or not.

0.4L is working for me

I had really bad screen flickering with one of the previous ones tho, while others didn't seem to have the problem. I suspect there might be different cheapo screens used on those devices, and embedded systems like that need the proper screen driver to work, might be your issue Area511

Thanks so much, unfortunately it's not working in my DSD, guess its a hardware version issue then, anyway I am fine with the 0.4k so far.

Yeah, I wish they'd work more on the software now that the hardware is as fantastic as it is. I'd love to see that caching fixed so that we could include much more music from our libraries than we can right now. But, that being said, I do love the price of this gadget. It can't be beat for the hardware it offers.

Speaking of the hardware in the Single AK4497 DSD, and Dual AK4497 DSDs - which component on the Digital circuit board do we believe is limiting the USB DAC function, so that it maxes-out at 16-Bit / 48-KHz?

I know that my Dual AK4497 Topping D70 DAC ($475) is capable of 32-Bit / 768-KHz, and even small USB DAC Dongles ($7) from AliExpress are capable of 32-Bit / 384-KHZ.

Just did some upgrade. Added four 0.1uf WIMAs and changed the output capacitors to Nichicons, 8mm don't fit in the original position so I placed one a little offset. Like others did before.
Also did some OPA rolling as the same shop had some that fit. No improvements against the original installed 4562, the very cheap MC33078 is not worth to mention, very limited Soundstage. The OPA2134PA should be in the same league as the 4562 but output volume is a little lower on my AKGs so I just switched back to the 4562.
Not much improvement so far, guess if it will also take some time for the capacitors to burn in.

The stm32 controller manages the usb input. not replaceble unfortunatly
