Well, I don't really think I am at fault for sharing, while you might have said just do sensible things. I don't think what you are typing now is sensible after Cornelius came out to clarify.

I just shared what I heard without any malicious thoughts. Why would I take effort to write a whole long impressions of IEM just to use a sentence to purposefully harm storm?

I am sharing my day 2 experience, and if you find it malicious, then I cannot help but wonder what your agenda behind all this is after Cornelius came out to clarify.

If removing the sentence is not good enough for you, you have to deal with your own feelings and thoughts. I cannot help you there.

It creates a waste of time for people to have to make a post to clear things up. It sucks.

Was there any talk about a Hiby RS6 Mk2 or Cayin RU8 at CanJam? I'm considering selling Sultan and PAW6000 for a ridiculous price and buying a more travel friendly setup to be ready for my next big trip. I gotta get out of here before the average IEM costs $5k because I know what will happen next

Hey it’s me, Cornelius from the Subtonic team! It was nice meeting you in person.

Yes, as you said, it was too midbassy for my personal taste. However that doesn’t take anything away from that the rest of the tuning, I do think Lee worked his magic and expertise there.

Words can be easily misinterpreted on the internet, so I’m just jumping in here to clarify. No worries at all, it’s really just a miscommunication for all of us here.

It’s certainly not sensitive information, just a little context missing!

To spark some further conversation about CanJam - this CanJam has certainly been amazing for me. I tried Fugaku for the very first time, and then Hex and Asteria a day later. All of them certainly play at a very high level. I was particularly impressed with how 7A tuned Asteria’s treble to be incredibly textured and extended. Just delicious.

HEX for me, has too much midbass so I actually do prefer the Moses for a somewhat adjacent sort of signature. Moses checks a lot of boxes for me.

Moving on to Elise’s upcoming Omnium TI collab, it’s something worth keeping a lookout for. Great relaxed tone and expansive staging that is quite different from most TOTL things these days.

Thank you to all of you that dropped by our booth and making CanJam a fantastic experience for me. We also certainly don’t mind hosting more pre-canjam activities at our nihilo showroom

Did you get a chance to try any Rhapsodio products? Any stand out to you? Again personal opinion only

After trying Macbeth I think it is a special IEM but I would like it to be a little more visceral in the bass department and a little warmer, it seems that the ultimate IEM could be combining the more visceral bass of Mephisto with the special tuning and sauce of Macbeth

I think someone mentioned Rival was very similar to their ears with the added DD, I may be wrong...

The point is that you are sharing other a snippet of people’s impressions without the full context and not YOUR own impressions/thoughts.

This hobby is about subjective opinions and your own thoughts and impressions are welcome. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t misrepresent other people without the full context of what they’re talking about.

I think there’s a difference between sharing what friends or other forum members think, and sharing what a manufacturer says about another brand’s product - especially if they are competitors.
Even if you’re not in the industry, it feels pretty clear that some things might be private or not meant to be shared in public. It’s not just about rules, but about using a bit of judgment and respect.

Well, i beg to differ. When the impressions is shared to me, I hold the information to share it my capacity, unless told not to share. Even when later on, they realized that they did not said so, they could have informed me in private message to remove it or to clarify. While I believe Chang is the one without context and send out the message, and get the forum involved and people emotional, can I then say this is malicious?

I did not purposefully go and ask Cornelius for his impressions, it was shared while we ended a session of testing the Hex out. And while I am typing the impression, I am just sharing out the events as it rolls out, including the conversation with him. I am not representing him, I just recounting my experience for the day. So do I own the experience, I do. Am I told not to share? Nope, I am not. Do I think its malicious? I feel its good that this hobby everyone has their own preference.

In the spirit of moving on, I would appreciate it if you really have a problem with this, while knowing it's clarified, please kindly process it with yourself. As much as I want to agree with you to make you happy, I cannot. If someone shares something with me and did not tell me it's a secret, I will have to take it that it's okay to share. I do not know your industrial secrets or code of ethics etc............. Please don't take it for granted that I know what to share or not to share if you have so chosen to share with me. You are assuming that I know.

I hadn't read about RU9 here so that's a great little surprise! Not sure Nutubes will survive my travel style though so I probably shouldn't take the risk. Will read up anyway just in case.

Cayin RU9 seems like a good device, it has magsafe magnets to hold firmly to the phone

You are just sharing what you think is right without context as well.

On the flip side…using common sense and courtesy, you should ask others if you can share their thoughts and impressions on their behalf before sharing publicly. Otherwise, you should probably disclose beforehand that anything said to you may be posted publicly without their consent.

I am not sharing other peoples impressions on their behalf, these are my own opinions about what should be common courtesy and respect. It clearly appears that you lack both.
