No need to be sorry, this is great and gives me a better sense of where you are coming from and I’m very appreciative of your time in responding so thoughtfully.

And I agree with how you “feel” about Trifecta and so do a few others here. It is a very unique iem and one that I will always keep.

Thank you again for sharing, means a lot.
Sure, no problem!

It's that 4-6 weeks lead time that's made me pause on getting these.
Yeah, I’d obviously prefer if there was no wait time but I’ve got enough gear to tide me over for the time being. Not ideal for your review structure though. I’m sure a set will eventually pop up on the classifieds as more get out in the wild.
YOLO, I still ordered a set! Someone mentioned in the Singapore Canjam impressions that it sounded better than Diva to them and Diva is one of my favorite all Ba iem's I have heard. I am willing to take a leap and be virtuous with patience.
YOLO! I’m going in cautiously optimist. Consistently impressed with Radon 6 so we’ll see if the Neon Pro can steal some ear time away from them.

I see you’ve got the Sound Rhyme IEMs incoming as well... Looking forward to impressions!

Last year, I bought Chord Mojo2 and loved it but ended up selling it due to lack of screen and streaming. Tethering it to my phone is just cumbersome.

Later on, I saw someone built a 3d model for a case to stick Hiby R3 Pro with Mojo2, I decided to try this solution. R3 -> Mojo2 by coax.
So far, I'm quite impressed by it. Hiby R3 is quite responsive (alot speedier than AK SP2k for sure :) ) And of course, it sounds very2 good.

Don't expect TOTL daps like N8ii or SP3k performance though. I think it's closer to midfi dap like FIio M17 but at more than half the price.

So...in order to get the thread back on track, I'm going to Propose a unofficial thread poll, which is completely unrelated to the next official one and is really just to see if I'm missing things I should listen to:

Best IEM Under $1K: FiR VxV, with an honorable mention for the Final A5000
Best IEM Under $2k: Fibae 5
Best IEM Under $3k: VE Elysium
Best IEM Over $3k: Super hard, but I'm going to go with the Campfire Audio Trifecta for now as the one I enjoy the most

I'll start...

Under $1k - Earsonics Onyx.
Under $2k - Legend X (no one pays retail for them anymore).
Under $3k - U18s.
Best IEM Over $3k - Raven, closely but just ahead of Traillii.

I have a review unit Jewel coming so I may change the last option if its warranted.

Best IEM Under $1K: (Not Sure)
Best IEM Under $2k: UM Mest MK II
Best IEM Under $3k: UM Mest Indigo
Best IEM Over $3k: Noble Audio Viking Ragnar

Honorable mentions probably go to Odin in the over 3k and VE Ext in under 3k (granted it's BARELY, but still). Honestly, with my incoming 320Max, in the future I may be grabbing the Trifecta to pair if it ends up being too bright with current sets. Going on a limb but I think if I can reign any bass bleed in I'll like it.

You seem sensitive to sibilance and want to have extra bass extension. Why don't you give the 7Hz Legato a try? Smooth and pleasing. I use these before sleeping sometimes. Very effective for that purpose
Sensitive, a bit, but it depends on the purpose. ATH-MSR7 over-ears are very sibilant, but a side note compared to the rest of the sound signature. KBear KS2 was even brighter to me, but took a backseat to the excellent contrast between bass & midrange, despite the bleed in lower midrange. Both are lovely for DnB.

Some music is naturally biased towards sibilance, even post de-essing, so it is a matter of how specialized I'd like something to be.

I'll keep the Legatos in mind, the suggestion is appreciated.

Ooh, no clue what the earsonics Onyx is. Gotta look that up.

Under $50. CCA CRA.
Under $500: FatFreq Scarlet.
Under $1k: I’m going to cheat and say a Black Friday special Audeze LCD i4. Technically it’s $999. Otherwise it’s $2499
Under $2K: Z1R
Under $3K: 64 Audio U12t.
Over $3K: It’s a toss up between Mentor, Odyssey and Raven. If I had more time with then I could say more conclusively which one I liked the best.

Under $1k - Symphonium Meteor
Under $2k - FATFreq Maestro SE
Under $3k - 64 audio Tia Trio (I have a feeling this will be replaced by Grand Maestro next week)
Over $3k - Subtonic Storm, but I prefer other IEMs in this price point

Surprised to see the Meteor on here - I thought I was the only one that likes it hahah. So you think the Storm is the best, but you prefer other IEMS? Kind of how I think the Ronin and Rn6 are the best over $3k, but I prefer the Trifecta? Mind saying what you prefer? Personal curiosity.

I quite liked the Meteor :)

Yeah so Storm is probably the best IEM I have heard as far as top tier music playback goes, although not perfect for my tastes. I would just rather spend the money on other sets that have a hint more “flavor” to them. If we are talking over $3000 then I’d personally rather own RN6 or Mentor, even though they don’t sound like Storm and are both more quirky.
