So the ZM2 will either upscale or downscale music streamed from non-Walkman apps (depending on the Hi-res streaming option being checked/unchecked).

I was wondering what happens if I downloaded everything from Apple Music so they could be played offline...when I play the downloaded files offline, does that still count as "streaming"? Would my files be played at the downloaded native bitrate or would it still be upscaled/downscaled? I doubt it would make much of a difference, just wanted to know.

I was thinking about the same the other day. Might have to download a few tracks off-line for comparison, but my gut feeling is that downloaded offline files will be treated as "streamed" and won't be downsampled during playback. Btw, I don't think it upsamples unless you turn on DSD upsampling. The system either uses native Android sample rate conversion (SRC) to downsample audio, or bypasses it (if hi-res streaming enabled) to allow up to 192kHz/24bit which is hi-res format of Amazon Music HD and Apple Lossless.

The big question is how will it handle MQA files streaming that gets unfolded to 705kHz/768kHz. According to the spec, WM1ZM2 supports MQA playback and full unfolding in Walkman app. I have to double check it again, but I thought when I was streaming Tidal through UAPP, it was showing 88.2kHz sampling rate. So, I don't think full unfolding using Tidal app or even UAPP is supported.

This is 4 wire silver litz, the same (or better?) material as Jewel’s stock cable, but much better look.

But no clue what to expect at all ...
For my U12T, U18S or Fourté
Maybe for the Traillii ?
Also a Brise Audio STR-7 Ref
That one will arrive end June with some luck

I actually don’t know the specifics for the connectors. I just let @doctorjuggles pick the good ones for me. I guess he can help answer this here.

Well I'll never stop looking for and being interested in cool new stuff as that's part of the charm and joy of this hobby...I guess I was speaking more to your "changes every two days" comment as I don't really think that is fair in my case. EXT was a foregone conclusion for me the moment it was announced and nothing has come close to usurping its place for me yet. I stated in December when I had the Timeless that my collection would eventually be rounded out by a higher tier planar...and that's exactly what happened. Trifecta is sure alluring but there's no way I'm going in on something like that without a demo...which I don't think will happen. There is a chance...but a remote one. I'm mostly just fantasizing.

Speaking of Timeless, There is soon to be a Timeless 2.
