My own APX SE has arrived after waiting for almost two months since I placed my pre-order. Yes, I'm very late into APX SE; I think I'm taking the last slot from Musicteck.
I made a request for a fixed 4.4mm connector, since I'm not a fan of detachable connectors. I'm happy that Piotr accommodated my request; kudos to Piotr and Andrew Musictek.
The sound is great; in fact, it's even better than I remembered with the demo. I have to use the Yatono 8w cable to truly enjoy the demo unit. But maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me.
And last but not least, some say APX SE is not good with metal music; well, personally, I do not agree with them. SE is great with the metal music genre. This is from someone whose music collection is 99.99% heavy metal. But in the end I agree, everyone hears differently.
Yep..tbh its nonsense. APX Se is incredible with heavy genres, because of the note weight, the texture in mids and the lows, great layering and how it handled complex passages. Right now I listen more to prog stuff like Meshuggah, Mastodon and Tool, Kyuss and other stoner with it more then with any other transducer in the past couple of years. And well... I had lots of totl iems and over ears around. APX Se is an exceptional allrounder that doesnt sacrifice fun to its hyper detailed nature. Soon 2 month in and I find it difficult to listen to anything else. Had a Traillii Ti around over the weekend and as much as I liked it, if I had to choose it would be APX Se without much hesitation.

If I had to guess this is just typical EA milking a highly anticipated IEM and at some point next year we’ll see a more normal version.

Dont care for Dio, more interested in this new cable. It's 2024 and theres no planar, mems or BCD in there and I heard that thing a very long time ago, not sure why its just releasing now, the tour was a long time ago.

Honestly reminds me of women and purses. Is this what we have become. this sort of stuff just doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather you spend every penny on the IEM and ship it in a $10 case. All that matters is sound.
