I've no doubt it's amazing!

But unfortunately Oriolus is a brand that's near impossible to track down here in Australia, I'm not sure if/when I'd ever get the chance to hear one. That said, I was in the same spot with Elysian 12 months ago, but by now I've spent quality time with Gaea and Diva, and made a home for Anni, so I'll never say never. :fingers_crossed:
Actually, I said the same before I tried it. Then I thought why not. Audio Stage is the only place selling it in HK. They do ship abroad. Check out their website.

Speak to Lok and ask for a discount.

I tried buying from them, but they told me strictly local.

The N30 is the real deal... The Cayin N30 Pearl DAP is low stock at Musicteck, grab one if you can. Will post some 24 hr impressions tmr.

How is the N30 LE Amber Pearl Version different from the normal N30 LE?
And what justifies the price difference of just over $1000 ? Is there a difference in technical terms ?
I'm just asking out of interest.
Thanks !

Howdy coolers!

I've just finished reviewing the Supernova from an Indonesian boutique called 7th Acoustics.

Have anyone tried these IEM? They have surprisingly lovely tonality and timbre. The rest is alright. I wonder whether this boutique would be one-hit wonder. Rumor is that they are launching something to compete with STORM in near future.

I would of course be living vicariously through folks like @Yifang and @Damz87

Guys,

I am thinking of a Tier List video…well, four to be precise…one for IEMs, one for headphones, another for amps and a last one for DACs. For the sake of research:

What are your top 10 IEMs and headphones for 2023?

Just trying to cast a wide net so I don’t miss anything good. 😊🙏🏻

Hi, :)

in no particular order:

Simphonio P0
Traillii Ti
Annihilator 23
Ragnar
Fitear DC Ti
Canpur CP622B
VE Aura
Rosenkranz Silver KA Gold
Mentor Multiverse
Melodic Artification Eclipse

Cheers 🍻

Julien

But their sale is so secret that they are not even on the website)
It seems that this model, despite a rather large circulation for such a price (still 199 pieces - not a little), will be a truly unique beast even among similar limited models. At least because buying it is a difficult task.

I am intrigue by their tuning technique and they have kept it a closely guarded secret. You can definitely tell it has been worked on for a long time to get this result. It's not one of those things randomly put together. Hence the reason for the price.

The $1000 question is : does the few components difference in the Pearl version makes it indisputably “better” or just gives a different “flavor” ?
Seeing @twister6‘s impressions, I wonder if some wouldn’t still prefer the organic and fuller body sound of the “regular“ version if they have the choice between Pearl and “regular“ version.
Does someone who tried the two prefer the “regular” ?

I tried them at a show last year and found them good, but not outstanding. It was a safe-sounding IEM to me with, as you said, the rest being “alright.” I’m keen to try out their higher-end flagship. There’s hope they’re bringing it to a Jakarta audio show in a couple weeks from now.

100% agree here. These are tuned very well.....and the rest is alright. Nice looking shells and decent value.

I was also wondering if the differences are similar to Sp3k CU vs SS but will never know myself.
Andy Kong himself stated that AP version was tuned for AP IEM and the regular version of the DAP might indeed have better synergy with one or the other non AP IEM.
Additional value as always is very subjective imho though of course I make myself believe that the immense investment into AP bundle was worth my money 😉
