For those who have been on X.com recently, here's a great song for tonight

I always format the card I intend to use in-player in the player I intend to use it.A rather basic question to all of you guys here. Do you format your micro SD on your DAP as internal or keep it as external storage? Any difference beside faster loading time maybe? TIA![]()
Early days for me but it's a stunningly beautiful pairup. I haven't heard the 21 Anni since I owned it last year and from memory the 23 seems to fix what was the only real issue with that IEM-- the bass. Previously it was what I would call "minimally acceptable" but here it's something of a highlight. Tighter, better extended, more present. Annihilator doesn't "need" lots of power but it sure does benefit from it. Trhough the RS8 on high gain/turbo it makes for a hell of an experience. RS8 has a really natural, analogue, authoritative yet liquid tonality that suits this IEM like a charm.
In other news we're two weeks into fall and two days past CanJam SoCal-- it's time for our seasonal 3 IEMs that own your heart at this moment poll. I'm not looking for your all time favorite 3 or anything (though of course you can submit those if you want). This poll is more meant to take the temp of the Watercooler at this moment in time.
Go!
No, I mean on android 12 we have new option to format it as an internal storage or keep it as external. If we format it as internal storage, we cannot access the file inside the micro SD outside the DAP. I'm asking because it's a hassle that I have to repeatedly remove the card everytime I want to add new music to my library. I want to know are there any downside if we format it as internal storage on the DAP or notI always format the card I intend to use in-player in the player I intend to use it.
The XE6 or Evo ... I think they're excellent for Hip Hop.This old stereo sound is perfect for 90's Hip Hop. Singularity is great but it is absolutely modern sounding.
I also have the Singularity and agree with your impressions. Many thanksI have both and both deliver lots of quality bass, if in a different way. Xe6 (and the other frontiers with Kinetic Bass) delivers bass like no others, meaning it's a different, unique bass delivery. Singularity delivers perhaps a deeper and more coherent bass, but Xe6 mids and treble are far more emotive, IMHO. However the Singularity delivers the most satisfyingly coherent sound being single DD, and it reaches deep. I have and love both, they don't cancel each other out.
Hi!It looks great, interesting description. Where can I find more information or a review?
I have the Singularity and am looking for something which has even better bass as I usually listen to Hip Hop.
Yeah… UE Premier is… “special”, to say the least…I heard it in Chicago. It was one of the worst IEMs I have ever heard.
Many thanksThe XE6 or Evo ... I think they're excellent for Hip Hop.
After reading everything, I think Trifecta sounds like a good buy for me. I am not so sure about XE6 or RN6 but am curious about E 12.Hi!
You won’t find much info on Simphonio P0 sadly. I believe we’re only 2 members (myself and @Crazeee ) on the Watercooler owning this set, and probably the only 2 who tried it at all.
Here are links to some quick impressions I posted a while ago about Simphonio P0 if interested :

Also, I believe @Crazeee gave some impressions as well on the watercooler.
I saw you already had great suggestions from the cooler friends! I demoed all the suggested IEMs except the Fatfreq ones and I tend to agree that Trifecta would fit the bill pretty well!
Now, if bass impact is your priority, I’d like to suggest 2 more sets which IMHO have some of the most thunderous bass out there. The first being the affordable option : the Devialet Gemini 2 which is a TWS, but a pretty good one. The bass response is insane on these!! Especially sub bass extending super low.
The second set being the stupid expensive option at $9000 monitors only (no cable) : the Rosenkranz Silver KA 18k Gold.
It’s a single DD, that’s somewhat in between RN6 and XE6 in terms of tuning, with a more analog / less digital presentation and bigger soundstage. They are worth the demo for sure, but they are extremely rare (and expensive)… the bass is something though!
Yeah… UE Premier is… “special”, to say the least…
I found the technicalities to be somewhat ok, but that tuning though… even Darth Vader is leaning on the bright side compared to these!
You feel like a pig rolling in the mud while listening to them!!
Cheers,
Julien
I am hearing not so good things about high fres response of EVO and someone also said that it is plasticky which makes me nervous. The XE6 or Evo ... I think they're excellent for Hip Hop.
Which IEM did you use for this song. This was the first song I played when I got a bazooka installed in my car in 1994 .....regulateeeeFor those who have been on X.com recently, here's a great song for tonight
Me too ....Bonneville or Trifecta....still thinkingThoroughly epic series of impressions and reflections! I may be getting on the Bonneville train with all this commotion about it.
Mine has been in the making for 14 weeks now.Their Supernova is pretty incredible. I'm still milling over whether or not to snag one...
I can't speak to what anyone else hears as there are many variables. I enjoy the Evo and XE6 for Hip Hop from 85 - present. I'm pretty versed with the genre, but none of my IEMs sound plasticky. I listened to my Mentor and RU6 driving back home from CanJam SoCal. playing Hip Hop.. Dr. Dre, Spice-1, Larry June, Three 6 Mafia, Ice Cube, Too Short, UGK, etc.. sounded fun and engaging the whole way... The Evo, XE6, and Mezzo LE are my go to IEMs for the genre.I am hearing not so good things about high fres response of EVO and someone also said that it is plasticky which makes me nervous.
I am thinking between XE6 and Trifecta.
Can't comment on Singularity, but when it comes to rap or hip-hop, nothing does it better than Xe6. I reckon that while sub-bass is important here, it's actually mid-bass that you're really after and again, Xe6 has no peer. And then of course there's the e-stat treble that provides excellent snap and pop up top on all of the percussive elements of the genre, and that's the ballgame.
I think you mentioned 90's hip-hop? Demoing this with Xe6 last year was one of many things that convinced me at the time of Xe6 mastery:
Too right!
