Without stating the obvious ... Vision Ears and 64 Audio are located in GermanyWith the exception of Andromeda all of those are well above MSRP. I suppose German import fees are also part of the problem here.

64 Audio is not located in Germany though? Aren't they based in Washington state?

not sure where to post this, so I will just do it here
Had a look at some interesting stuff at Hi-End Munich.
In a booth hidden in the corner behind the headphones it appeared that a XI Audio prototype was being tested:
Listened to it with an Abyss 1266 phi tc. To my ears its sounded very nice, lots of detail flying at you. Tat but mid forward, interesting to see what this will become. Shares the same knob from
Formula S.
Also had a listen to the Lotoo Mjolnir, which can come with a cognac brown leather carrieing bag (strap?). Very simular sound wise, to the LPGT, that is no surprise. I borrowed the Abysa Diana TC from another stand to test if it could drive it. And to my surprise it did quite well, low-end had authority and impact, details where their.
I was told
Its going to support Roon streaming + they showed me a prototype phone dongle that wireless streams from your phone to the mjolnir in high ress. Though still early.
Overal I like the swiss army knife approach, but its definitely not portable. Yes you can carry it, but are you really going to? well you know it if you are.
Also listened to the new Shanling M9. Which I was told is a mix between M8 and current M9. It gets a little more warmth from m8 but does improve on detail. So signature wise the new m9 sits between both models.
They updates the leather case (thank you! Not a fan of the old M design), and the player itself is now black and gold.
Only listened to it shortly, so cant really give a good impression. Still sounded good, listened to a song from Adelle on the Odin.
Then: Final Audio
They had a piece on display that visually is very different from other headphones.
They where not for auditioning, but they did let me wear it. As you would expect from looking at the frame. This thing weighs nothing, and straight disappears on your head. The mesh takes some getting used to, but is maybe not final yet.
The spokesperson from Final Audio was one of the nicest persons ive met on show. Really took the time, and could tell he was passionate about the product. But was also in for a laugh.
Thats it for my short impression of some funky stuff

as far as I am aware, at least for electronics, headphones etc. basicly most stuff, if a business imports something to sell here they do not need to pay import duties just as normal the VAT of 19% on sale. If you buy something pivately outside eu customs may apply but for headphones only vat. With the exception of Andromeda all of those are well above MSRP. I suppose German import fees are also part of the problem here.
here as an example headphone worth 1000usd from china to germany

Thanks, im thinking of getting the Radon 6. Think my colleagues will appreciate it if they dont have to listen to my crap while I doI actually tested that with the Xe6 today. I would say the leakage is not that bad. Unless the office environment is super quiet and you are right next to your colleague, you should be fine. I compared it with a D9200 closed back, and I think the leakage of the latter was twice the volume of the Xe6.
If you want a completely silent IEM there are plenty of excellent alternatives of course. In fact, almost all of them The only IEMs with leakage I can think of right now are the Fir audio Frontier series, the Audeze IEMs (i3, i4) and the 64audio Duo.Thanks, im thinking of getting the Radon 6. Anyone else interested in the Astell and Kern Zero2 or, for those over in upside down land (Australia), have you heard it?
Looks to be a very interesting IEM for the price point.

I find it strange that there seem to be new reviews of the Zero1 when the Zero2 is set to be released any day now.Anyone else interested in the Astell and Kern Zero2 or, for those over in upside down land (Australia), have you heard it?

If you think these (Sony's) are good enough to buy three time, I'm giving them a serious look.. ThxWhat are some long lost IEMs you would love to buy again. Foremost for me are the Elysium,

Has the Zero1's dropped significantly in price, due to the new model?I find it strange that there seem to be new reviews of the Zero1 when the Zero2 is set to be released any day now.

Solaris SE. Miss the vast soundstage, instrument separation and how it rendered male vocals. Evoked an emotional connection with the music. What are some long lost IEMs you would love to buy again. Foremost for me are the Elysium, Solaris SE and the IER Z1R (for the third time).

Just checked, basically $1k vs $700...
Anyone know if $700 for Zero1 is normal? I'm a bargain Hunter, not cheap , but frugal....

Never experienced this. I don't think I could take part with my IEMs even if the market has evolved and refreshed so many times already

It's very rare I feel ambivalent let alone negatively enough about an IEM or headphone that I want to risk parting with it... so often I've discovered something new when revisiting an old favorite. Somehow the more IEMs I am exposed to, I discover there is more to like in IEMs than I previously understood.
We talk a lot about 'the journey' to end game in this hobby, but to me it's growth rather than a journey. I learn more as I listen more, and in turn I find more to love even in older IEMs I may have not listened to in some time.
